Can anyone recommend me some Nordic Noir?

As above, really! I’m a sucker for Nordic/Scandi crime dramas.

Have seen and loved:

• The Killing
• Fortitude
• The Chestnut Man
• The Valhalla Murders
• The Bridge

What else might I love?

Trapped, it's Icelandic but has that scandi tension.

Icelandic crime dramas are probably my favourite! I think Trapped has some of the same cast members as The Valhalla Murders?

I’ve searched for it on Netflix and Amazon but couldn’t see it, although in my quest I found one called Entrapped (also Icelandic!) that seems to fit the criteria so that’s gone on my watchlist in the meantime

I think Entrapped is the third season (I haven't seen it but it's apparently not as good), the first two are called Trapped and are amazing!

Oooh I’ll shelve it until I’ve hunted down Trapped! Which platform did you watch it on? I’m having trouble finding it 🧐

I watched it when it came out on BBC1 but just checked and the first two seasons are on Amazon Prime.

DNA on iplayer

It's a film rather than a series, but The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a classic (both the Swedish and American versions are excellent IMO).

I've not found anything that could top The Bridge yet. Husband and I just find all crime drama boring/predictable now in comparison 😂

Not Scandi, but can recommend Dear Child (German) on Netflix.

That was good, granted. We were disappointed by the ending though.

Finnish drama Borderlands was good, although lost a bit of momentum as it went on.

Karppi set in Finland is really good.

Another vote for Karppi/Deadwind. Loved that series.

Bordertown/Sorjonon was quite good.

Not Noir but Borgen is bloody brilliant.

On All4: When thé Dust Settles (Denmark, terrorism)

Following a recommendation on here, I really liked Wisting, it was on I Player but not sure if still up, set in Norway.

I started that one last night!

Have had to keep rewinding bits because I’ve been missing what’s happening on screen as too busy reading the subs

I expect I’ll be fluent in Icelandic/Finnish/Norwegian/Danish in no time at this rate!
