Are you enjoying it?

I have just started Mr Mercedes on disney+, seems intriguing so far, excellent soundtrack. Seems to be one of those shows though that each episode seems so much longer than it is, odd, sticking with it though.

I have a free Disney+ trial offer so might look that up, the book series is fantastic so I hope it does it justice!

Today I finished Heartstopper series 2, it was ok. I thought series 1 was better. But I’m probably not the target audience.
Then a documentary Harley and Katya which is about figure skating, very sad but fascinating. Young athletes amaze me with their dedication, and this made it clear what they sacrifice. Very well done.
I’m thinking of series 4 of Sex Education next but I’ve read a lot of negative reviews of it. Might see what else is on.
Oh and last week I watched all of the Murdaugh Murders episodes over 2 days, that was gripping and so sad.
All of those are on Netflix.
I probably need to not be so ill and do something away from the sofa soon!

WhoWants2Know · 28/09/2023 18:42

I started Mr Mercedes after reading the OP. I think having read the series makes it more frightening...

User1539721 · 28/09/2023 21:29

Heartland on UP, a Prime channel, on series 6 so will move to Netflix for series 7 onwards, 1-6 is on UP not Netflix, t'is very good, a nice family drama with many episodes, lots of horses in it.

Mr Mercedes is good but iirc I didn't think so much about the second series.

OddBoots · 28/09/2023 21:37

Right now? Taskmaster, and I love it.

QuillBill · 28/09/2023 21:42

Welcome to Wrexham on Disney. It's really interesting.

CoraLovesMashedPotato · 28/09/2023 22:04

We're rotating through Daisy Jones and the Six, Manifest, Beef and old episodes of Taskmaster. I'm also watching old episodes of Britain's Next Top Model when DH is out at football.

autumniscomingsoon · 28/09/2023 22:19

Just watched the Jill Dando documentary on Netflix thought it was really good

Mindovermatter247 · 28/09/2023 22:33

Just finished rewatching the rookie, absolutely love it… had the strikes not been it would have aired this week. So just refreshing.
I saved all of the inheritance so I can binge watch all at once.
I want to watch still up on Apple TV…. I’ve got time now… usually all my shows would be back but because of the strikes they are gonna be delayed.

Mindovermatter247 · 28/09/2023 22:34

Also loving so help me todd… super funny 😄

Passthecake30 · 28/09/2023 22:36

I binge watched Maid last week (loved it!) and now watching The woman in the house opposite the girl in the window (or something like that!)

Haven't heard of any of those haha. Didn't even know that next top model was still going.

Race across the world, series 1. I'm loving it, so much more than the other series (I've watched in a backwards order)

Californiabound · 28/09/2023 23:34

I have nothing after Mr Mercedes Sad. New dr who waiting room I guess. I liked the first two series of the boys, then just suddenly couldn't be arsed anymore.

Madamwahselle · 28/09/2023 23:35

Dr Who in preparation for the new series!

Californiabound · 28/09/2023 23:36

Indeed @Madamwahselle , have watched the trailer ahem a few times.

Just finished deadloch on Amazon, absolutely brilliant.

GreenTuraco · 29/09/2023 00:07

Started watching the new series of Virgin River on Netflix but it's awful so gave up. Am in need of something decent to watch

caringcarer · 29/09/2023 01:11

I've just been watching the new season of Virgin River.

caringcarer · 29/09/2023 01:11

Also watching celebrity race across the world.

namechanged221 · 29/09/2023 23:48

Just finished
The Other Black Girl

Excellent!

Repeats of Cardiac Arrest on iPlayer. It was Jed Mercurio’s first drama from the mid 90s which made his name. He wrote it while working as a junior hospital doctor. It’s every bit as good as I remember, and as topical now as it was back then. The only slight problem is that DP appears to have fallen in love with the young Helen Baxendale. Oh well. At least he’s got good taste.

TheChosenTwo · 30/09/2023 00:01

Just watched some Rob VS Romesh with dd, does make us laugh. Very silly and funny, lighthearted stupidness.
I watched the jill dando documentary on Netflix during the week which was interesting.
Rewatched some episodes of Schitts Creek which I absolutely love and is my perfect comfort TV viewing.
Also watched all 4 episodes of the inheritance on channel 5 which turned out to be typical channel 5 dross. So I don’t recommend that at all!
Am about to get into bed now, I like to watch comedy when I’m in bed before sleeping rather than anything drama/tense/complicated, it’s very comforting.

User1539721 · 30/09/2023 07:06

Thank you @Libertass i didn't realise Cardiac Arrest was on iPlayer

EasternStandard · 30/09/2023 07:07

The Mist

Yes it’s good. Not too scary and well produced

mondaytosunday · 30/09/2023 07:12

From - yes but creepy!
Masterchef Australia- much longer and drawn out than the English one so you get quite invested. Sad to see Jock (judge) who committed suicide shortly after it was filmed.
The Good Morning Show - nice to see Jennifer Anniston not being Rachel for once.
Billions - the rapid fire dialog can make the characters seem samey but glad Damian Lewis is back.
Virgin River - only watch this because my (18) daughter likes it. Love Annette O'Toole though!
