Elemental = tackling racism?

I watched this the other day and the first thing that screamed out to me, was about racism. About how fire should only go with fire, water only with water etc.

Anyone else notice that?

A good film though

Yes the writer of the film is Korean American and the story was based on his childhood e.g how his parents wanted him to have a job that wasn't creative and how his parents originally disapproved of his American wife.

His inspiration, background and life story and how it relates to Elemental is on Disney + too. It's very interesting! 😊

Highly recommend it!

Watched the documentary on the director just this weekend on Disney plus. I highly recommend. Racism and experiences of immigrants are a very imp aspect of the film. It is a very personal film for him.
