Does anyone watch this? I'm watching the recap episode shown before the new series. Moriah said she'd been best friends with Olivia for 8 years. It's a shame she hasn't really had much opportunity to make friends outside the family.
I'm amazed that Olivia seemed to think that Kim shouldn't be at Joshua's grave visit. As Moriah said she was welcome to not go. She wasn't part of the family when he died. Kim's only his mum!. 🤔

I watched the first episode of new series and felt a bit sorry for Olivia that after the rest of the family cutting her off Ethan is now going to go and stay in Cairo and leave her on her own. Olivia really needs some friends outside the family as she only seems to have her brother.
Olivia is going to be gutted after she sees the Plaths discussing her brainwashing Ethan on TV. Maybe it's all fictional and part of a script though and they all get on fine really. (Apart from Kim and Barry's divorce.)

Yes I think some of this is at least distorted or exaggerated to make good tv. I cannot take all of it seriously.

It started off as a religious homeschooling family on a farm in the US with 9 children. The kids brought up quite strictly. One of the eldest has married and stayed on the farm and there are tensions between the daughter in law and parents. One of the daughters still at home is rebelling. She moves away as do the married son and dil. It continues with tons of arguments and dysfunction and some stand offs.

I find Mariah very hard work. All over Olivia who shared lots of experiences new to her, mothered her, let her move in with them. Picked her up when M split with her boyfriend. He cheated which was wrong, but M stayed in her room, didn't clean up, didn't pay rent. Moped for months. Cut her family off and in tonight's episode is back in the fold, had blocked Ethan and Olivia. Sounds like she orchestrated the joint statement on social media with her siblings. Told her dad that she didn't want to live at one point. Had to smile as her dad was trying gently to tell her that he too struggled with depression but no, over Moriah's head. All about her. And now she wants to get baptised. Talk about a 180 turnaround.

I've watched the first half of the latest episode. I like Mama Sue. I hope Olivia's sister doesn't feel used that Olivia is only making contact because she's been dropped by Moriah.
I thought the Lydia (O's sister) and Moriah wedding video seemed fake and like it had been filmed specially for this series rather than being 4 years ago.

Has anyone been watching the new series? Olivia looked très chic when she surprised Ethan. Maybe part of the reason he's having second thoughts about the divorce.
I think it's sweet that Moriah has moved back in with Barry.
Kim's boat will be a bit of a squash.
