Totally agree that the Amanda/Gio story is likely to be a TRA plant. Wouldn’t be surprised if it came from a blue-haired junior assistant at the Beeb. Their “allies” have been pretty vocal in the past about trying to control news content, etc, I wouldn’t be surprised that they’re angry about her being on the show and will try background sabotage.

Does no elimination obviously mean there’s no Sunday show this week?

I always found the tv show Breeders unsettling because of Martin Freeman (plays a shouty, sweary, horrible imo dad) and he said in an interview that his character in that is the closest he’s ever played to himself in real life so I think that says it all about him.

Amanda A is insufferable too but I’ve found the care she gave her partner after he became paralysed quite telling in that she’s not so bad.

AA is a great actress and a great mum.

Her new husband seems really kind and nice and they hadn’t been dating long when he was paralysed - she committed at that point and they have been together ever since. MF is not a nice person - multiple affairs etc and very up his own backside. I think AA is great and she’s a strong person. Other Gio previous partners say he is a bully and I wouldn’t blame her - she’s good for standing up for herself

I like lifts of both kinds though so I'd be sending your DH those two clips next time he says it, along with Push the button and You're making me high videos. I do love a montage.

These early episodes of Strictly give me that feeling of going to see a long film at the cinema, with all the adverts and the trailers first, and you have to get very mentally strategic about eating, drinking and weeing.
