Anyone know anything about the Billy Eliot boys?

Just seen the 3 lads playing Billy Eliot on the Royal Variety Performance and they are really talented. Anyone know them or know anything about them - ages, backgrounds, how many auditioned initially? I just think it's wonderful to see such talent and good on them for making it as far as they have.

Don't know but they were fantastic weren't they? When I heard them sing I actually forgot they were supposed to be incredible dancers too and boy they didn't disappoint.

There is an article about them in Young Performer Magazine (the mag produced by Stagecoach Theatre Schools) They are James Lomas, George Maguire and Liam Mower. 2,500 auditioned. The ones shortlisted were trained for 16 weeks (a Billy Elliot Academy) to polish their skills until they chose the final 3.

James has a backhround in gymnastics and karate, then later started dance lessons. He had never been to an audition before.

George is into street dance and trampolining. He then started singing lessons, and went to dance school.

Liam started to dance aged 8 and is a student at White Lodge (the school featured in Billy Elliot)

The parts will be re-cast every 6 months.

Have just watched them whilst doing my christmas wrapping, having recorded it from last night, they were AMAZING, really WOW!
