What is everyone's vies on the BBC cancelling 10 hours of broadcasting of her work?

Pissed off.

The BBC complaints process is an absolute joke so I'm going to email the Director General directly so his office gets the memo - I imagine lots of people will be doing the same.

Its quite worrying in my view. These were just tweets expressing an opinion. The Guardian are running a review of her new album and its as if she has committed a heinous crime 🙄

They weren't even tweets. They were screenshots of a private Facebook conversation

I'm personally sick of this shit. She should be allowed to state (a perfectly legitimate in my eyes) opinion and not put up with this nonsense from a section of rabid TRA's. Cancelling as a result is just vile.

I will be emailing the chairman to express my disgust.

It's because she's Irish

Men with assaults (physical and sexual) against both sexes will be given a free pass.
But the work and economic life of woman who states an opinion which is fully in line with the UK's official health policy is supressed by a body which received public funds.

If the employees and directors want to exert pressure on public policy they should all run as MPs in the elections

The directors need to deside if they provide a public service or not.

If they want to act like a commercial business they need to hand back the money they get for serving the public.

I am not that familiar with her work but was astonished to hear they had done this, though not that the Guardian wrote the sanctimonious rubbish that it did.

Does anyone know if the BBC has ever done this with any other performer, whether musician, actor, comedian?

Its hard to fathom how they could justify such a draconian act.

This is really concerning! What can be done though? Letters of complaint will just be ignored as coming from 'transphobes.'

Sadly the BBC has outlived its time, so woke and left wing we hardly ever watch it. The licence fee should be scrapped

I found this and the BBC explanation is so implausible you wonder why they would even bother to make it. ie send out information about forthcoming schedule and then suddenly realise from out of nowhere that one of the musicians doesn't fit the theme of the week, or whatever rubbish they said.
