I find poor post mistress sooo sad. I was hoping the teacher would last a bit longer. What sort of a name is dorcus anyway?

Haven't watched it but lots of it was filmed in my village and dd and I used to stop the car and watch them on our way back from nursery.

Ahh! I think those sisters will get what's coming to them, interfering, nosey.....

Do you recon the posh bird will mc and run off/die in childbirth and dorcas and posh bloke will get together?

Haaa, what the hell did they have on tonight? They must get paid a serious amount of money to look that stupid. Dorcas and posh bloke have got to sort out the fu**me eyes because they are driving me nuts. Maybe he does, she gets pregnant and wifey mc's. Hmmm.

Poor Dorcas indeed, I think she is middle aged in the book, so very different. We love a thwarted lovers story though. Its a shame that the teacher didn't last longer I agree.
In the blurb in the tv magazine prior to the series starting it said that she had refused Sir Timothy worrying about their different status. If that is so, she really is her own worse enemy

I LOVE this too, although last nights was sad. I think it's Julia Sawalha's best role, she is fantastic in it.

Such a Sunday night programme, wonderful.

He's in Ashes to Ashes too - with beard. And I saw him in that dire film The History Boys - without beard. Definitely better with!
