sort of enjoyed it, was hyped way too much. characters seemed a little unbelievable but maybe they were that bad.

It is pure class

Hidden Persuaders by Vance Packard, sea. and unfortunately the whole storyline about the "safer cigarette" and the brand wars in the tobacco industry is completely accurate

they got through a few packs filming didn't they never seem so much smoke

Agree southeastastra-I enjoyed it a but was a teensy bit disappointed tbh.
Think it will get better as the series beds in.
Thought the main character was gorge(cross between Timothy Dalton and Jason Isaacs).
The art direction/cinematography was fab and stylish.

Almost tempted to rush off to buy some Marlboro Lights. It made smoking look very glamorous.

i enjoyed it but it was abit - 'oh look it was a long time ago and everyone smoked and woman where treated like and acted like complete dicks'

I was truly about the chauvinism. Was it really like that? Or just among ahead-of-the-curve urban sophisticates

getting more chauvinistic (sp). very enjoyable though.

I just watched ep 2 and found it so distressing. Were women really treated like this?
The secretary, the depressed wife... tragic.

this continues to get better and better! what happened with don's family and his long lost brother? very sad last night.
