Midsomer murders - Holly Willoughby as herself - what was that all about?

Bemused to see Holly Willoughby in Midsomer last night. First on a stage non speaking, thought that was it but later in a very close up scene with hair covering right eye delivering stilted lines. She seemed as bemused as I was. What was that all about?

Pushing magic crystals at people-very true to life.
I was a bit disappointed actually. I thought she’d have a better part/perform it better.

And what was all the nonsense about beavers!

It was odd. Perhaps Schofield was also meant to appear and had his scenes cut!

i hadn’t thought about that - you could be right. I also found the death of the grandad references weird - they dedicated the episode to the composer of the theme but it seemed very odd to make out he was a character’s grandad. Don’t blame Betty for clearing off.

What in heaven's name was the point of her being there?

And yes the beavers and the grandad??

It felt like when you start a new job and everyone knows the politics and in jokes except you.

I watch the old Midsomer Murders and the quality is fab compared to this tripe.
