but I could pass a pineapple and I still wouldn't sit down with my friends and tell them that my latest bowel movement was [coy look, big swallow, embarrassed eyes emoticon] really uncomfortable.

I thought exactly that when I saw it too!

SueBaroo · 29/02/2008 22:51

Still less would you produce your stool softener and bandy it about cheerily in a cafe, I presume. I am completely with you on that.

BigBadMouse · 29/02/2008 23:05

Why is it always women in these sort of ads????

DH asked me if that was really the sort of things women discuss around the coffee table but I would say men are more intrigued with that sort of thing.

I'm pretty sure it would have been a more effective advert if done in the style of 'Bottom' . Something like 'Hey GUYS!!!!, come and see what I just did - bring your camerea phones!!!'

AitchTwoOh · 29/02/2008 23:06

lol at pass a pineapple. it is an odd ad, that's for sure.

avenanap · 29/02/2008 23:11

It's a sex and the city spin off. As if we'd really talk about poo in a cafe!

expatinscotland · 29/02/2008 23:13

Apparently, however, a surprising number of people bring up the intimate and private details of their lives in public and even with relative strangers, as this thread demonstrates:

jennster · 29/02/2008 23:45

As someone on another thread put it so well (for another reason) 'I was cringing so much I nearly inverted myself until I was inside out'

avenanap · 29/02/2008 23:46

Haa, PML! , not inverted though!

jennster · 29/02/2008 23:47

or words to that effect.

jennster · 29/02/2008 23:49

Actually I think I would say 'oh I'm just a bit constipated' but that would be the end of it. It wouldn't make me late. My children, car, husband, traffic, would make me late. Anything but me.

avenanap · 29/02/2008 23:50

It's sex and the city though, have you noticed?

jennster · 29/02/2008 23:52

A really CRAP sex in the city. I was talking about it with my father today. He thinks it's hilarious. Really good advertising in that he wants to buy a few packets and slip them into random ladies' handbags.

avenanap · 29/02/2008 23:54

Haaa, it's soo cheesy! it wouldn't make me want to buy them, 2 soft pears, alot cheaper.
