I've just caught up with the latest series and can't see a thread about it.
I LOVE Ellie Taylor as the new co-host. Liam is great and though I did like Tom Allen, Ellie is so much better.
And I want to know why Daniel from the Landmark always looks so sad?!

Love this show! Daniel does look sad. Now that some of the weaker teams have gone, think the quality will ramp up. Ellie is really good on it.

Some of the teams are brilliant this year.

I'm watching! It's my guilty pleasure. I really like Cherish's new bob and Benoit's polo necks.

It's reassuring to see that professionals are as prone to baking disasters as amateurs, but some of the challenges do seem unfairly weighted towards certain types of hotel chefs with experience of making elaborate sugar work monstrosities centrepieces. But then I suppose there are the Viennoiserie tasks that favour traditionally trained pastry chefs... Maybe one of the challenges should be to whip up a birthday cake for a 7 year old, plus 28 totally different small cakes, each with different dietary requirements and decorations, no choking hazards or ingredients poisonous to family dogs.

I'm so glad Tom Allen has gone, one less ridiculous accent in a barely comprehensible programme.

@Theredfoxfliesatmidnight Me too - Ellie Taylor is such a relief after Tom Allen! As for the elaborate centrepieces, they are just so stressful to watch and quite often not very beautiful - I obviously don't go to the right hotels, I've never seen anything so bonkers in real life.
