I loved the first series of Lost and thought the second was OK.

I am now half way throguh the third and it has got really really silly and holds no interest for me whatsoever (apart from oggling Sawyer).

Is it worth starting the fourth series or not?

Yes - keep watching - the third does get better towards the end - stick with it!

Can't believe you're still watching. I gave up after series one (and it was pretty silly even back then). So p**sed off that there were no answers and I had wasted 20+ hours of my life that I'd never get back. (Oh what I'd do for a spare 20 hours now....)
If I were you I'd buy a poster of Sawyer to ogle, & watch the last episode of series 4 on DVD. If it explains everything, great you've saved time & if it doesn't, then you know you'd be stuck with an even sillier series 5 so give up now and reclaim your life .

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 28/02/2008 21:32

Yep I gave up halfway through series one.

I think even the producers have no clue.

amytheearwaxbanisher · 28/02/2008 21:33

im still watching and still saying what?at the end of each episode and also oggling sawyer hope the forth series is the last because i need answers!

mumdebump · 28/02/2008 22:37

Amy, you really know deep down that there will be a fifth series, and a sixth, and it will go on forever (that is if there are any viewers left) but .... there will never be any answers. TheDevilWearsPrimark is right, they just make it up as they go along.

I have deleted series 3 from my Lovefilm list and Series four is rapidly using up my SKy Box.

I think I'll delete it tonight!

DualCycloneCod · 29/02/2008 08:23

oh god suddenyl oyu get great denouements and it gets terrifying

DualCycloneCod · 29/02/2008 08:24

no ther are only 2 more series apprently

UnquietDad · 29/02/2008 09:24

They meant to do 3 more series (after the 3rd) of 16 episodes, but the writers' strike put paid to that and only 8 were made for this year. So they've had to re-jig a bit.

So if all goes according to (revised) plan now it will go:

Series 1: 24 eps
Series 2: 24 eps
Series 3: 24 eps
Series 4: 8 eps
Series 5: 16 eps
Series 6: 24 eps

UnquietDad · 29/02/2008 09:25

And they've still only been on the island fro about 3 months!! This must be the only series where we know the characters so well over such a long period of time, when they have all still really only just met.

MamaMaiasaur · 29/02/2008 10:25

Well if they've only been there 3 onths it might explains why they havn't run out of washing powder, shampoo and make-up and why the iron hasn't gone on the blink.

They've been using Dharma stuff from the hatch, though, haven't they?
