Have you seen the French and Saunders HoE skit? It's hilarious.

I still think it's wonderful. Both my top two favourite programmes on at 2 today - Upstairs Downstairs on Talking Pictures.

I really enjoyed it, back in the day, will have to take a look.

I used to meet Stella Gonet through work many moons ago, she was really lovely.

Sadly French and Saunders ruined it for me ,they were so fantastic 😂

I loved it years ago. Was just a kid. I wonder if they will remake it as I think it would very popular.

My mum and my sisters would watch this!! I think I did catch an episode a year ago and laughed at how it was even more wet than Downton, but I do remember thinking I would go and master drawing butterflies and then become a fashion designer. I think I even used to walk around with a sketch pad... cringe. I was probably 10 .

I watched this when it was on originally and then watched it all again a few years ago. I hadn't remembered it just ended suddenly on a cliff hanger which was really disappointing.

Then I got the book which I thought might clear it up but no, it wasn't even the same story lines particularly.

The drama when a jealous rival fashion house would steal their designs for Lady Fenella Smythington-Poffington’s wedding trousseau.

'Oh Bea!' and 'We're ruined, Evie' they'd gravely exclaim.

Everything was oh so serious and not one single laugh was ever had

Would love to re-watch it.

Oh God This threads has made me realise I'm subconsciously recreating Stella Gonet's hairstyle as I grown out my pixie crop......I loved this series when I was younger.

Drama had edited the episodes quite heavily I've noticed.

I follow Louise Lombard on Instagram and from a couple of comments she's made, I think she'd be up for a reboot.
