Going through a very difficult time at the moment and need some distraction. Just restarted Schitts Creek tonight, Grace&Frankie has worker well also. Would love some series or movies I haven't seen. Anything that makes me laugh! TIA.

Somebody Somewhere. It’s lovely.

LaDeeDa123 · 31/07/2023 23:10

Have you watched Bank of Dave? It’s quite good and very feel good.

OfMiceandWomen · 31/07/2023 23:12

Ted Lasso

Allmyghosts · 31/07/2023 23:17

Yeah Ted lasso, very easy to watch.

Mumoftwoboysaged4and5 · 31/07/2023 23:18

Suits or Motherland both on Netflix

Allmyghosts · 31/07/2023 23:18

Raising hope is also good, although a bit old and probably not streaming.

JulianFawcettMP · 31/07/2023 23:20

Ghosts on iPlayer. You need to give it a couple of episodes to get to know the characters but it's genius

Sodie · 31/07/2023 23:24

Thanks so much. Love Motherland too. I've a tough time ahead so that looks like plenty to keep me going for switch off time.

Girls is on hbo, if you're around 40 it'll give you all the laughs and all the feels x

justanotherlaura · 01/08/2023 22:24

Somebody Feed Phil, on the face of it, it's a travel food programme but his enthusiasm is infectious and he's the loveliest man. Every time I'm feeling sad or anxious I watch a few episodes!

evtheria · 01/08/2023 22:30

Only Murders in the Building (Disney+ Star) is technically a murder mystery, but it's cosy and colourful and warm. The new season is nearly out so you've got to catch up!

The World's Most Extraordinary Homes (BBC) is great escapism, and the hosts are great - warm and relaxed without being overly 'chummy' for the camera, in particular.

Mangotango39 · 01/08/2023 22:31

'Trying' on Apple TV - has some sad moments as usual but very funny and feel good overall.

'Colin from accounts' hilarious

Hazeltrees · 01/08/2023 22:36

On iplayer. Murder on the blackpool express. It's a film with follow ups called death on the tyne and dial m for Middlesbrough. Stars jonny Vegas and sian gibson

Superstore. on netflix is really good!!!

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 01/08/2023 22:45

Have you watched The Good Place on Netflix? I think it's lovely

Welcome to Wrexham on Disney plus is not a comedy, but warm and lovely, plus bonus Ryan Reynolds

Malcolm in The Middle is on Disney Plus now, that's sooo funny

Young Sheldon on Netflix is funny and good hearted

DuesToTheDirt · 01/08/2023 22:45

I don't know if it's feelgood exactly, but Deadloch (Amazon) is hilarious. And I say that as someone who doesn't find many programmes funny.

Just coming on to say exactly this!
Just finished it and missing it already

FrogSplash · 01/08/2023 23:23

More votes for Ted Lasso and Colin From Accounts. Also Starstruck.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 01/08/2023 23:30

Oh yes to Starstruck. It’s warm and brilliant

midsomermurderess · 01/08/2023 23:34

Brokenwood Murders. It's a bit of a NZ Midsomer Murders. Macabre murders, nothing too realistically grizzly, lovely settings, wry humour. It's on UKTV.

@JulianFawcettMP did you know that you can do a tour of Button House (West Horsley Place)? A friend may have been and enjoyed it...😁

Augustus40 · 02/08/2023 06:50

Netflix 'What's Love Got to Do With It'.

TonightMatthewIamgoingtobecher · 02/08/2023 08:53

Ah I know what you mean. I'm going through a very tough time too at the moment and am watching Schitts Creek. It passed me by and I'm loving it Sometimes nice to rewatch familiar shows as well? ITVX has loads of old shows for nostalgia. I''ve found myself rewatching Goodnight Sweetheart!

TonightMatthewIamgoingtobecher · 02/08/2023 08:55

Oh and love Ghosts. On Now tv they have Yonderland, very funny same people (more for kids I think).
