ooh, two of the docs I've recommended to people on mn are the "good" guys on this prog! the paed allergy guy and the paediatrician (who looked after my son for 3 years from birth). Hurrah, they are both excellent.

mckeith is clearly a fraud, but so are all of these very high profile diet people aren't they?

I don't think that Gillian McKeith woman is pretending to be a doctor (v serious crime!) rather, she has a PhD in Dietetics.
Why do you think she's a fraud? Her advice seems sound to me, basically what any nutritionist is saying these days!

apparently she got it from a correspondence course in USA that was NOT accredited {I think that is the correct term} so it is not recognized as a PhD

Did you watch the other things that she had said like was on Joan Rivers BUT it was a celebraty gossip columnist nothing to do with food.

Anyway I do not have a personal prob with her as I have NOT bought her books or products because I think they are all a con.

But I am sucpicious about things like diet guru people

I did nuy her book - as I was interested in her aproach. SCARY STUFF. The diet she promotes in her book is nothing like the one she promotes on her TV programme. Read some of it, skimmed the rest and threw it away.

I'm embarrassed to say i bought her book (the first and last diet book i will ever buy).

I had seen a couple of her progs and thought she made sense, in a desperate bid for pre-baby body i bought it, read it once and thought noooooo way can i do that!!

She wants u to live off nuts basically and a load of other stuff i've never heard of that you prob have to ship in from the bermuda triangle!
