Big Howard Little and Little Howard
Published: Monday, 25 February 2008, 3:16PM
Last December their multi media act went down a storm at The Royal Variety Performance and now comedian Howard Read, 32 and his animated six-year-old sidekick Little Howard are on tour with two live comedy shows - one for children and one for adults.

Little Howard is the creation of stand up comedian and animator Howard Read - aka Big Howard. Together they are the world?s first human / carton stand up act.

In the show, Little Howard and the Magic Pencil of Life & Death, Howard keeps the whole family amused.

He explains: "I've tried to make the show as funny as possible for children but also for the adults - parents like coming as a lot of the jokes are for them. In the show Little Howard discovers that I have a real son called Samson and gets jealous. He sings a song called 'Lets sell Samson' and the kids love it, they all leave singing the song but use their own little brother or sisters name instead.?

Howard's adult show, The Little Howard Appeal, begins with Little Howard in a coma! Howard explains to the audience that LH has caught Asian bird flu and is lying in a coma in the St Bart's Ward for Cartoon Children.

Howard said: "We have a coma cam direct to his bed. I do an appeal for him but the only thing that can save Little Howard is laughter and good reviews, so we try to make the audience laugh as much as possible to wake him up."
