I was thinking that Jane but don’t think there are any Ukrainian men players who would be playing Russian/Belarus players so don’t think we’ve had any potential non handshakes in the men’s matches

it’s a difficult situation - I suppose they’re there to play tennis but not sure how I would feel if my country had been invaded - I would like to think I wouldn’t take it out personally on individuals but who knows how I would feel

Mirra seems to be having the same sort of run as Emma a couple of years ago. Both teenagers getting much further than expected against much more experienced players.

Except that the scheduling timing is much fairer to Mirra and she’s not having to play on the big show courts. I wonder how well Emma might have done if she had been able to play earlier in the day on a quieter court?
