Ty and Ouzy are both beautiful men, objectively - for me - Ty is the more beautiful, though only just. Scott is also incredibly gorgeous.

Of the girls I'd say Leah and Whitney are the most beautiful, and Jess when she tones down the make-up is very pretty. Amber is also a very pretty girl. Ella has a beautiful smile but doesn't show it enough.

Has anyone seen the Pringles ad where he gets the tube stuck on his arm? Looks like Sammy.

I can’t speak for every single person but generally a lot of opinions about looks are subconsciously influenced by Eurocentric ideals of beauty which is promoted to us from a young age.

Everyone has their own tastes which can be for a variety of reasons but naive to think that doesn’t play a part for a lot of people. Not sure why you are being so defensive about it?

I think he’s good looking as well and I think I said that already. I’m just saying the disproportionate drooling over him is, I believe, partly due to societal conditioning.

I’ve seen many comments online which prove that - as well as I have a lot of mixed race family and friends who speak of being “exoticised” ie. People basically tell them they are the most attractive kind of Black /Asian people because they have green eyes or a narrower nose etc. there is a reason why such a relatively high number of POC models are mixed black heritage as opposed to mono racial black. i walked out of an agency job because a bunch of guys (mixed race and white) were saying how they only liked mixed race girls but “full” black women were unattractive. If you’re not aware of colorism just say that but it’s definitely a thing.

okay calm down - I’m not saying people are wrong per se.

To be clear, people can have their own tastes for a variety of reasons so for some people it’ will just be they like his bone structure or physique etc better but in many cases a lot of it is down to societal conditioning which promotes certains “looks” above others per se. If you’re not aware of something called colorism now you are.

It's just tedious on a thread about love island. People are entitled to their opinions without it being over analysed. I'm mixed race myself so yes I am aware of colourism I'm just sick of it being dragged into everything.

Sorry I’m a bit behind and just watched the case recouplonh. I’m confused at people saying Ty got what he deserved. He wasn’t ready to close things off on the same timeline as Ella (and that’s fine - he communicated that!). however they did both agree to close things off pre casa and he’s the only one out of the two that stick to that!

Catherine annoys the fuck out of me. She was so dismissive of Scott's feelings. Like you can bring someone back and not be a dickhead. But there's zero empathy there. Just parroting I have no regrets.

She also just repeats what everyone else says too. Her advice is fucking terrible. 'Love prevails'. It's not fricking mills and boon.

I also hate Ella for making Ty look sensible and treating Ouzy like shit. Again the emotional intelligence of a sponge.

Would they have a recoupling at this stage? I would think they would wait until after a couple of new bombshells are brought in. Or maybe they will do a fav boy/girl vote to mix it all up again - especially if the producers want to split some of the couples? How many weeks is it until the final few fixed couples start doing the baby challenge and other tedious tasks?

Looked so wrong in every way. Not a bad looking girl, but not conventionally pretty, and DEFINITELY not 'sexy...' I was cringing so hard looking at her.

I find many mixed race people attractive.

I find many white people attractive.

I find many "full" black people attractive.

I also find some of the above NOT so attractive (to me!)

Ouzy being fucking gorgeous has absolutely FUCK ALL to do with him being mixed race.
