Lisa wasn’t very nice to Mark, strung him along and made him pretend to be Louise’s dad from what I remember. She was obsessed with Phil and ended up shooting him. Getting involved with him was her undoing really. I think they dated in real life and it ended equally as badly (minus the attempted murder!)

I hate these blackmail stories (there is a new one each week). They never make sense. If Lou has really gone off the rails with drugs etc, then why doesn't Keanu say to Lisa that instead of getting her money he will just take her to court for custody instead. Pretty sure Reiss would have pointed that out too.

Does anyone here get blackmailed like in EE in real life? It's a plot type very overused in EE.

I thought they were going to do something more interesting with Reiss’s character but he is currently just a bit of a joke one. I roared when Sonia was wearing her mental health professional hat during her chat in the Caff with Kim explaining all about intrusive thoughts. She really is a credit to the NHS!

Yeah sorry that’s what I meant by made him pretend. Mark knew it was Phil’s and she told him he had to say the baby was his otherwise Phil would be in her life. I think they made up an elaborate medical story about the conception as obviously Mark was HIV positive. I think she then got bored of Mark (he was v dull to be fair) and restarted an affair with Phil.

The blackmail storylines are never logical. The “threat” hanging over the victim is always something flimsy no normal person would ever worry about. Most of us go through our entire lives without ever being blackmailed but if you live on Albert Square it’s like a weekly occurrence.

All he needs to do is ask his mum about maintenance payments and courts and what not
She must be an encyclopedia on most of that considering how many children she has with different fathers and so on ( and how to claim UC etc too)
