Mine is "The Shiny Show". It's cheap and nasty and my ds can't be bothered either.

Closely followed by the over computerised graphics on Noddy (and every other show they do) that Channel 5 seem to have gone for.

Bring back Bagpuss and Mr Ben I sayGrin

HATE the adverts.! Argh! If I hear 'My Little Poney' once more I'll puke. Tweenies gets on my nerves & the voices of the Rugrats drives me bananas. Maggie & the Ferocious Beast is pretty annoying also. On the positive side, Little Bear is good and I also quite like Angelina, Ballerina. (okay, I know, cringe-making but still... Blush. 64 Zoo Lane is acceptable.

MaryChristmas · 12/12/2004 20:07

The Shiny show.

"Give yourself a shiny?"
And "give yourself a pat on the front?"

Highly suspicious

Barney

fruitcake · 12/12/2004 20:09

LOL Grin(what a bunch of pervs, tho)

alexsmum · 12/12/2004 20:10

do you know what really bugs me about the shiny show? " give yourself a shiny!" I find myself shouting at the tv " a shiny what??? shiny is an adjective not a noun!!!" sad I know!

Amanda3266 · 12/12/2004 20:13

Forgot Zingalong. What happened when they filmed that - everytime they show the presenter singing with the kids they virtually cut her off the screen.
Cheap and nasty anyway

HA ha marychristmas that was funny Grin I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that when I first heard it! Very sad though as my dh has recently bought an I Pod and has downloaded ALL the cbeebies songs for it so we can play them in the car for dd. He thinks he has does something good! I bet you all find yourselves singing the songs at some point in the day though or is that just me being incredibly sad!

muminlondon · 12/12/2004 20:21

Sesame Street was fab! what programme today has nifty little sketches to learn colours, numbers, Spanish words? the Shiny show was dreamt up by some childless young male student on acid.

fruitcake · 12/12/2004 20:36

LOL again Grin. Thanks, YORK! Will add that to list of Reasons Not To Get An Ipod... along with the price.

YORK · 12/12/2004 21:04

That stupid thing has been the bain of my life and we've only had it 1 month. Not only does it mean we have to listen to moronic music but dh spends a full day downloading and nothing else!

codswallop · 12/12/2004 21:06

tikka crappa adn story crappers

codswallop · 12/12/2004 21:06

the zingalong waomn has collagen implants - no?

SantaGoesToTheGym · 12/12/2004 21:07

Mum in London I am with you

There is a variation of it on Nick jr (I think )and DS was most perturbed, when he discovered that I knew who some of the characters were. Grin

xmascaroltygirl · 12/12/2004 21:10

Can't stand Zingalong - to the point where my dds warn me not to come into the room when it's on! Also don't like Fimbles but it isn't quite so bad.

Don't mind the Shiny Show, though. Not saying I actively like it either, but I found it helped a lot when I realised they are, in fact, the Young Ones. Think about it - Tigs is Rik... Mukka is Vyvian... Dogsby is Neil... and there is no Mike because he was too boring Grin. I'm right, though, aren't I???

hunny · 12/12/2004 21:10

Barney

Lawksamercy · 12/12/2004 21:23

Zingalong - "Zoe" has negative charisma, no rapport with the children (who obviously cannot stand her), she is wooden and stilted, she cannot sing in tune, and she can't even mime properly to her own tuneless warbling.

YORK · 12/12/2004 21:25

She also wears really bad foundation. Has anyone else noticed? I know thats really nasty but you can't help but notice her face is a different colour to her neck!

FrostyTheSurfMum · 12/12/2004 21:26

Tweenies. Fizz really annoys me.

Smut. If you ask me these so called children's programmes are nothing more than a chance for programme makers to indoctrinate future generations with smut. By the time they reach their teens, all they want is Pamela Anderson, Jordan, Abi Titmuss and as much pornography as Sky can throw at them!

wheresmyturkey · 12/12/2004 21:34

don't like zingalong, come outside, tweenies or tikabillla!

Think shiny show, teletubs, fimbles, storymakers, zoo lane and pablo are all great shows!

As for dick and dom, therre has always been an anarchic side to childrens weekend television from tizwaz to mallet to trevor and simon and kids love it (i know i did when i was young, still do!!!!)

wheresmyturkey · 12/12/2004 21:37

It's only smut cos you read things into it that children don't! They don't understand any of the slightly adult side to the humour unless you make a big deal of it! The children love the mess and stupity of it. And as for linking it to porn!!!!! you have a strange imagination Grin

IwigitcouldbeXmaseveryday · 12/12/2004 21:39

SMUT, SMUT SMUT SMUT SMUT AND PORN (I want some)Grin

YORK · 12/12/2004 21:55

My father in law thinks big cook little cook is really perverse! He thinks that little cook is rather rude with his spoon!

whitepixmas · 12/12/2004 22:16

Playhouse disney because it's so lazy (is it still on btw, managed to avoid it for so long)you always know how many letters will come through the door etc because they just use the same bit over and over.

Out of the box. All those stage-school type kids, awful scripts and always some sick-making moral message laid on with a sledge hammer. Yuk Yuk Yuk.
