Thought I’d start a new thread as we’ve run out of space on the old one!

But why have they brought her back? She was legitimately evicted. So why is she back? As I said, if it was ANY other girl, she would not have been brought back. And if it was any other girl, people would not be crying about her being booted out in the first place, and saying she was 'stitched up.'

Maybe she does have no connection with ITV, but something is a bit suss about her returning...

It's a good twist @WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps - simple as that.

I normally watch with DD(19) but she abandoned me tonight. I sent her this earlier while I was watching. 😆

But she wasn’t “legitimately evicted”. There wasn’t a public vote and there wasn’t even a vote from the other islanders.

Her “shock eviction” was set up as part of bringing her back. She didn’t need to go to start with, so it’s not that an islander got dumped and then itv found a way to bring her back… it’s that they fake dumped her to start with really

Ooh that was a bit awkward. I feel like Zach won’t be able to enjoy the Casa experience now. Felt like a bit of a mood killer

He was definitely looking foreword to it as well. ‘I’ve not felt like this since I was 5 on Christmas Eve’ 😄

Zach is going to feel like he has to recouple with Molly and can't get to know the other girls. He looked disappointed and uncomfortable when he realised it was Molly. I really don't want the main villa to be all about them, I'd like to get to know the other girls. Gabi seems nice and Tink seems like she has a good personality.

Ella and Ouzy seem to have a good connection and I hope she recouples with him tbh. He's not my type but he is objectively very good looking. He needs to sort the hair though

I'd also add that he seems to bring out a cute and soft side to Ella that we really haven't seen at all. She was much more likeable today!

Yes we are all willing Ella to take him back. Ty has never had a girlfriend and is a total fuck boy. Ouzy seems a much better long term bet!

@WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps I think it was series 3 - they brought a girl back but by then the guy had moved on & it really wasn't the drama they were hoping for. I'm rubbish with Islander names but think the guy had moved onto a girl called Zara (no idea of his name or the original girls name though).

Sam and Mike came back in during season 3

@Gothambutnotahamster they brought back Malin to confront Terry as he'd moved on with Emma I believe. They sent him out of the villa to see her though. I think this situation with Molly is basically forcing her onto Zach as he won't feel like he can get to know any of the other girls and he will feel like he has to recouple with her

I think it was planned for Kady to choose mollys man (or one from another established couple possibly) and for the slighted female to go back in to cause drama

they we’re planning on bringing her back, so they should have kept her isolated.

She has now had access to social media etc, will know who are the fan favourites.

I’m not a fan of it, particularly because it’s not like her and Zach were serious anyway.

If this was the plan it should have been Ella, she has been closed off with Ty from the beginning, it would have been more dramatic.

Wasn't there a girl dumped in a similar way in (I think) the series Amber Gill won? It was only about the 1st or 2nd full day and a bombshell (can't remember who) came in and picked her guy. She was told by text to pack and leave immediately and wasn't brought back. So basically the same set up as Molly, Zach and Kady but much earlier in the show. Maybe the producers didn't feel that bringing that girl back would have added anything but at the time it seemed quite brutal as she hadn't had chance to get to know anyone properly or show her full personality.

I don't dislike Molly but I think her coming back may suppress all the boys' natural behaviour towards the new girls. But the producers seem to have upgraded their playbook this year so probably have more twists and turns to play out. Too bad the majority of the players are a complete yawn-fest!

The whole Molly thing feels/has been manipulated. I guess it's up to the producers to do what they want, but it makes the whole show seem more fake.....but then, it is now all about enhancing social status and what can happen post LI rather than finding 'true love'.

I am still convinced she was in on it from the start. She didn't look shocked enough when she was dumped (and she pulled many a googlely eyed face at other less shocking incidents prior to this). The Kady thing too.....why is she here? It's clear she's playing it very safe so as not to overstep the line. The refusal to kiss Zach publicly (on terrace in front of cameras) was to me genuine. She recoiled. She has a life outside of LI so has just come in the stir the pot. I wouldn't be surprised if she is (producer fixed) dumped soon now she has played her part.

Still watching mind!!! Rooting for Whitney and Jess, and Mitch now too oddly! And for Ella to hook up with Ouzy and give Tyrique a taste of his own medicine!!

I hope they do the postcards and make it look like TY is being an arse.

Zach feels forced and awkward to go for Molly so they can have their story and try to cruise in the show for as long as possible (which is what they were doing before - I don’t think it was deep for either of them)

If he didn’t make out he wanted her then he’d be the villain of the show for fiat 500

Would Tyrique have sat there and say he is closed off if Molly wasn’t sat with her eyes on him? I think not.

Ella should bring back Ouzy (think there is a fair chance) and bin off Tyrique for good (that will 100% not happen though)

Mitch will somehow mess it up with some of the casa girls. I’m sure one is desperate enough to stay that she’ll play along with his awkward attempts to chat up though.

Also the way Molly basically just smirking in the whole conversation with Zach and repeating the same phrases as he squirmed a bit. Then walked off dramatically and started to put on some kind of sad look even though there was no dramatic final lines from either of them? In fact he’d just said nice things about thinking about her I think. Makes no sense and clearly so fake, producer directed

Regarding links to itv. Her mum may downplay her own relationship with the company but we know she is connected to the show/staff/producers and former islanders.

Feels similar to the Gemma situation where I think she was guaranteed producer steerage to the final (or close to) as part of agreeing to come on.

I think Molly is being ridiculous (albeit no doubt she's scripted to drive this daft plotline). Of course Zach moved on and kissed Kady. It's Love Island. He didn't leave with Molly because it wasn't that big of a deal, so the fact that he stayed meant he was committed to trying out other options. You don't stay in there if you mope about and don't get together with someone. So he's done what he's there to do and to have a go about it is just dumb. Plus he's allowed to kiss Kady to see if there's chemistry, just like Molly kept on kissing him when she was coupled up with Mitch and indeed kept crying to be allowed to kiss Zach and going on about the chemistry they had. Whereas Zach and Kady have both been pretty middling about whether they're really into each other and are keeping options open. I really don't want the Molly thing to put the kybosh on Whitney and Zach because even though they're not fully compatible, they're good fun flirting together whereas Molly and Kady aren't all that interesting.

That aside, I'm hoping Ella gives Ouzy a decent shot as Ty isn't seriously up for a relationship and Ouzy was dead right about Ty making Ella unhappy overall.

And I think it's mean to slag the northern guy who Jess likes. People like who they like and I thank god that Jess has her own taste and sticks with it, even though we all might not share it. Makes it way more interesting than everyone going for the obvious conforming types and if the feeling's mutual it's all good.

I don't know why they've put the 20yo guy in. They do this sometimes - put people in who there's clearly no one compatible for. Women rarely go for younger guys at that age. If the 19yo whose in the villa was there then maybe they'd have a chance together, but he's just going to get sidelined which is a waste of a space.

Agree about Elom not being that appealing, but be interesting to see if Scott goes for someone else, which would justify Catherine shopping around a bit.

I do hope Mitch finds someone from the new bunch and doesn't mess it up. But agree this Molly twist has made it a less fun vibe in the villa overall so the guys might be less likely to go wild in that lads on tour way. Let's see...

Actually felt a bit sorry for Zach, Molly had her script and directions and he was a bit rabbit in the headlights!

Ella seemed to come alive around Ouzy, so smiley and natural. It's a shame he wasn't in from the start so I would like her or someone else to bring him back. Any CA girl that looks in Mitch's direction is safe.
