Thinking about buying it from the movie channel in a minute but not sure if it'll be ok for 3 year old..... is it any good?

DS2 watches it but he's 3 3/4 and a second child which makes a difference IMHO)

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 12/12/2004 12:32

we bought it for dd as she loves it (3 in a couple of weeks). But TBH I think it's awful but kids seem to love it

So if you like it and want to introduce frequent viewing... I've got a copy for sale LOL Grin

I just taped it while we watched it and sure enough as soon as it was finished she wanted it again - I wasn't impressed though so might have to let her forget it til i need to go off and clean the house!!!
How about the Scooby Doo films - have you seen those? They're another option for today!

dd loves them even though they're not cartoons.
dh and I saw SD2 at the movies... sad I know but we had the day off from dd and no ds yet... all the kids in there had a great time. Really depends how easily your kid gets scared as there are monsters... who of course loose ;) spoiling the plot

p.s. it's rather sad isn't it that I'm an expert on kids movies!? GrinBlush

excellent - it was between that one and stuart little for this afternoon. We never ususally buy the films from cable but dp spent £15 on watching boxing last night so it's our turn today while he's at work!!

I think it's ok for a 3yo but totally crap! I know it's not aimed at me but...

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 12/12/2004 12:48

Stuart Little is ok too... for kids... I found the 'american way sweet and wholesome as family' a bit ....

OnZephyrstdayofXmas · 12/12/2004 12:59

yes know what you mean! not over keen on stuart little) Are the scooby doo monsters scary or silly?

My brother was talking to Mrs BGD just before Christmas a couple of years ago about the Cat in the Hat. She told him how she hated it and he looked distraught. When we opened dds Christmas pressies that year we found out why. He'd gone overboard buying Cat in the Hat stuff for her.
