Anyone watched tonight? Seem to remember the last series didn't go down too well, never watched it, but decided to give it a try tonight. Quite enjoyed it, getting used to the characters, but wish it wasn't two hours long.

Saw the previous series and enjoyed them enough to pass up the finale of Ten Pound Poms to watch this new series. This episode was a bit different and took you to parts of Amsterdam you wouldn't usually see, although some bits lacked explanation and the ending was too neat. Thought the new team looked good, but want more of the dog. Agree 2hrs is to long, so many adverts.

It didn't hold my attention. I've not long finished watching the original, which started in the 1970s. I was too young to watch it then and thought it might be a bit wooden and clunky, but it's really rather good. Better than its successor.

We were watching the original series on Talking Pictures! Much prefer it even though it is very much if it's time.

I like it but I think it could be anywhere. It doesn't really trade on the Amsterdam location enough.

I think previous series have traded on the location, this one, the first episode anyway, not so much.

Oh I didn’t know a new series had started. I quite liked the last ones. I’ll have a look.

Just started watching. Bemused by (in this modern age) the difference between Marc Warren and the very everythingdone Maimie McCoy. She's much younger than him (and lovely) - why has she had to have all that done? (I'm not blaming her!!!!!)

He’s 56, 56! Does he have a portrait in the attic? Look at Boris Johnson by comparison, a mere three years older.
