Taped the show. Just finished watching it. Can't believe Steve won. He's so unmemorable. G4 are so many streets ahead of him they're in the next town!

I had to mute the TV everytime they came on - just terrible!

I guess they're one of those groups that people either love or hate. Dd and ds don't like G4 either. Maybe it's an age thing.

No, you're right. Although I don't like them and would never buy their stuff, I can see why people do like them - I know that sounds a bit strange!

I wouldn't buy Steve's stuff either tbh - I like his voice and type of music but I've got Luther Vandross and Motown stuff and I'd rather have that.

That's what I meant about Steve being unmemorable - the original versions (or even nmore recent cover versions) of the songs he sings are all better than his versions. At least G4 are different enough from the original to be different, iyswim.

What ever happended to Michelle ?????? Steve will go the same way.

Couldn't bring myself to post last night after the result - too annoyed. RUBBISH RUBBISH RUBBISH, if I'd had some sort of insight into him winning, I would have never bothered watching

But, saying that.... I think G4 are in a way better for not winning as Louis can now manage them and mentioned last night about doing so and giving them a career. He obviously has more loyalty towards them than Simon ever would and even though Simon would have had to give them a record deal, I feel sort of out of spite towards Louis he would not 'help' them as much as he could and maybe concentrate even more on making Il Divo bigger.

PS - Don't mention the word Michelle, thank god she has disappeared thats all I can say. However someone posted that she was releasing a christmas song, thankfully I haven't heard it yet!!!!

Actually I agree, its not always the best thing to win - look at Hearsay and Liberty X, Steve has now got to live up to much more pressure, I just think he's average and dull, why bother with Steve (like someone said) if you can listen to Luther etc... also I noticed in the break last night that Lemar's new album was being advertised and he was singing one that Steve was doing. Nothing new or exciting about Steve.

Lets face it, none of them were really any great shakes in the competition - like the one Michelle won - none of them really shone out I didn't think.

I think it's also very hard to be original as most things have been done now.
