I’ve had a difficult day and I’m feeling a bit sad and anxious. Can people suggest something I can watch later that might distract me a little, thank you! (ideally available on a free streaming service)

There is a good one on ITVX called significant other. It's funny.

ZombieBeryl · 09/06/2023 18:20

I recently enjoyed the comedy Black Ops on BBC IPlayer.

ForestLilac · 09/06/2023 18:21

Colin the accountant on the iPlayer.

Tiredforfive45 · 09/06/2023 18:23

Stath Lets Flats on Channel 4 catch up. I watched for the first time recently. Hilarious!

Death in Paradise on iPlayer. There are about 12 series, so if you like it, you'll have plenty to watch.
Comedy detective series.

Also Colin from Accounts...

The Alan Carr thing on itv ( can’t remember what it’s called but it made me laugh)

fussychica · 09/06/2023 18:28

Black Ops, Colin from Accounts, Kath and Kim.
Hope one of them cheers you up!

What about Still Game on BBC iplayer. The first one must be watched as intro. Stick with it. It gets better. Two very naughty pensioners.

thenightsky · 09/06/2023 18:49

Old episodes of Gavin and Stacey never fail to cheer me up and make me laugh out loud. I think they are all on Netflix now.

Sorry to hear you've had a difficult day. What about Father Ted? Not sure what's available online but frankly any of it, even if it's just compilations of good bits on YouTube.

Or The Detectorists, which is probably still on BBC iplayer. Start from the beginning if you haven't watched it before. Glorious scenery, and the relationships between the characters are so well developed from episode to episode. Lovely gentle humour, really well observed.

Is Friday Night Dinner still available on All4? I really enjoyed that. Also, Rev, which was all on iplayer quite recently when I belatedly caught up with it.

Puppylucky · 09/06/2023 18:56

Stath lets flats is hilarious if it's your type of humour. It kills me and leaves my DH cold!

UnfinishedUserna · 09/06/2023 20:04

This country
Taskmaster
The office
Ted lasso
