Succession from the beginning

I've only just recently started watching this. I'm on S2 E2. Does anyone else want to chat about it?

Tom gives me serious ick (to use a MN phrase). He was hot in Spooks but he's gross and obsequious in Succession. I actually prefer any of the others cause at least they own the fact that they're assholes.

I've started watching again, having only got half way through season 1 last time.

What is Tom's job? I have no idea what he does.

They're all creepy. All the men. Connor is weird as anything.

Tom is the Chairman of ATN (American TV News) - the news TV channel owned by Waystar. It's basically like Fox News

And Connor is definitely my favourite of the kids 🤣 but my favourite character is Stewy. He's just hot 😍

They’re all bloody awful people, they just seem to get worse!

I binge watched every series until the current one (the one that’s just finished) as I was very late to the party. It is the perfect way to watch.

I like cousin Greg, always seems to worm his way in.

I'm rubbish with remembering names. Which ones are Connor and Stewey? I feel sorry for Greg but at the same time I want to shake him and tell him to stop being such a drip. Kendall has been my favourite so far although he gave up too easily IMHO.

Connor is the eldest son from Logan's first marriage. He's the one with Willa 😂

Stewy is Kendall's friend from uni who he got into business with (see photo)

What does Stewy do? Apart from have loads of money. I’ve never really understood.

He's a private equity investor and the son Logan always wanted but never had with his own idiotic kids 🤣

Ah yes! Stewy is hot and much more suited to being Logan's son than the others.

I spent the first couple of episodes trying to work out why Roman looked so familiar till I looked it up and found out he's Macaulay Culkin's brother.

Brian Cox is great! Love him as Logan. Fantastic character.

Connor is completely unhinged. Kendall is too easily led. Roman is a typical stupid rich kid. Shiv I don’t trust an inch.

can anyone tell me what Greg does? Is he just following Tom about?

I think in the beginning, Tom is in charge of resorts?

I imagine the Roy empire as a cross between a massive TV & news company, and Disney,

I think Tom is in charge of the American resorts region (it seems there are global ones too).

I’m halfway through season 4 and have to say I’m struggling to bother with it. I think the problem is I detest them all so much I actually don’t care who gets it all.

We're half way through season one I think, just watched the one where Tom 'swallows his own load'🤮 he's definitely the creepiest!

I was late to the party too. Loved it (thought Kendall was a brilliant character), binge watched, finished it, hated the ending. I just avoid HBO stuff now.

Ah, OP, you’re in for a treat. There will be shenanigans. Tom is utterly horrible and yet you may very well end up loving him. Very similar for all the characters.
