Sorry if there's already a thread on this but... is anyone else watching this? I have nobody to talk about it with cos nobody else I know is watching and I'm totally invested in it!

I binged it over the weekend. No idea how I missed it when it came out. I was open mouthed through the lot.

The youngest couple omg, I'd have thrown him out the window.

Yes the youngest ones I feel a mixture of really sad for them cos they're so young and that mother is something else, and also so frustrated with them too.
The mum though! Started looking for a pretty young 14 year old girl at church to marry her boy. So so so young!

I've no idea why the broken leg one got married at all. Unless it was financial, two incomes for the mortgage. She doesn't seem to want to be married.

The young ones, I know it's the culture and the big fat tv shows here have shown worse.
But it's still so sad. No education, no choices.
Homeschooling teens so they don't meet anyone else.
And I can't imagine what the dad is like away from the cameras, the son had to get that attitude from somewhere.

The southern couple don't even feel like they're arranged. I couldn't quite work out how it happened for them and how long they'd been together.

I’m halfway through the second episode.

The young couple, Christian, what a horrible young man but no wonder looking at his parents. Poor young woman marrying into that.

Josh and Meghan. His mother is awful, doesn’t want women to be equal to men. No wonder Meghan is so bloody useless with money and ‘daddy sorts it out’. I’d feel sorry for Josh, but he needs to grow some balls and stand up to his mother and give his future wife some confidence.

Thd other couple, I can’t remember their names. The woman is more likeable, at least she stands up for herself. He just seems like a mummy’s boy, it’s not clear what she sees in him.

Hopefully it’s all for the camera, because they’re all bloody awful. Great entertainment I suppose. 😅

watching this now, its horrifying

Meghan seems nice, but over spent by $7500 - and she's talkng about how hard it is to have to pay her way - but thats not her fault, she was brought up in that way (she seems nice though)

None of them are really horrible, Christian the young man is a bit arrogant, but then again, its his upbringing

Yes! I have no idea what the deal is with the southern couple! They don't seem arranged at all just introduced by her mum or something.
Though I did find myself in tears laughing at Josh's tiny mum getting him to fling her around in the Charleston! Meghan's face! I kept thinking of how that would've felt if my MIL had done that 😂

They are all products of their environments, edited for the 'best' footage. I like Meghan, she seems able to go for what she wants. The you gets couple seem to be in a miserable situation but I'm not part of that culture; maybe it works out.
