Hi all,

I have got tickets to the BGT final and i wanted to take my 11 year old sister but I read on the small print that you have to have the same surname and my sister and I share the same mum but different dads therefore her surname is different to mine. I have tried emailing but haven't heard back yet... any help would be appreciated!

How did you get the tickets? usually you get them from applausestore and show ID when you show up so it doesn’t matter what your surnames are …

Just get there early because even if you have a ticket you're not guaranteed entry. I found this out by chance when I had tickets for BGT.

They don't care about surnames so you'll be fine. I'm pretty sure there was an age restriction so I'd check that before you go

There is a tediously long wait between acts. The judges do talk for ages with the contestants which is really nice and you don't get to see that on TV
