I have no problem with people doing what they want with who they want, as long as it's consensual.

But for the love of god, why would you want to parade it on the telly, where your whole family/school parents/teachers could watch you taking part in a bloody orgy? Are people that desperate for five minutes of fame?

Is this Channel 4? Their programming gets more and more cringe worthy.

Yes, it was featured on gogglebox on Friday.

Literally had this convo with friends too. Wouldn't any sane person be mortified at the very thought of it! I think it's a complete attention seeking thing

bottomsup44 · 21/05/2023 09:36

How embarrassing for the couple who kept getting turned down too 😬

I know!!! 😬😬😬

Stumbled across this -luckily my prudish OH had already gone to bed. Again why would you do this knowing your kids, their friends and teachers would find out. The man with insecurity issues and his partner apparently create content for OnlyFans so not that insecure I guess 😱🤣

pancakestastelikecrepe · 21/05/2023 11:58

I know the mother of one of those featured. I wondered why our paths hadn't crossed on our usual dog walking route - poor woman

HT56 · 21/05/2023 13:04

Wait til you watch the next episode. Basically showing an Orgy with very little to the imagination.

SoupDragon · 21/05/2023 13:11

I saw the trailers for this and thought the same. Why? Just why??

Oh my goodness 🙈🙈 how embarrassing for her

I think the blonde one seems to be living her best life, fame hungry wee girl

allthewoes · 21/05/2023 22:03

Maybe the producers trawl only fans looking for people to take part?

I watched this on Gogglebox and it reminded me of that Channel 4 documentary about dogging where the couple were roaming round the woods trying to find someone to have sex with, but it was raining and nobody was out.

allthewoes · 22/05/2023 21:38

@determinedtomakethiswork haha I remember that, so funny. Them all wearing eye masks as "disguise", like your next door neighbour wouldn't recognise you.
"Shall we just go home Derek?"
"Yeah 🙁"

😂😂

Another of these cringy moments was ok a similar but less glamorous Ch4 documentary about a swingers club. There were a rather odd couple there looking for group sex and the woman basically ended up having a big sulk and domestic with her partner because nobody was interested in them. It was painful to watch. I've seen some clips of them resurfacing on tik tok recently actually.

Shadesofscarlett · 23/05/2023 08:31

I wondered if most of them are Instagrammers or Only Fans and they are doing this to up their profile. Either way - I really struggle to understand why you would do this on camera.

MyTruthIsOut · 24/05/2023 12:13

I started Binge Watching thid yesterday and gave just finished Episode 4.

I’m going to make my husband watch an episode with me tonight as I’m very open to the idea of opening up our marriage…

Definitely not on a TV show though!! 😂😂

I also felt really bad for the couple who kept getting rejected 😬😬

Hotfuninthesummertime · 25/05/2023 22:48

Omg this is odd

GeneJeanie · 26/05/2023 07:36

I can't understand how couples go in to this, and are allowed on, when they have such poor communication.

Also, why is it so often the case that one person (like blonde Nat(?) who was with lovely Tom) just doesn't think it through. Maybe it's the editing, but she seemed so keen to "open up the relationship" until it finally dawned on her that Tom would also be getting some.

GeneJeanie · 26/05/2023 07:37

I'm up to episode 3 and the guy who thinks he might be bi, but isn't sure. Hmm

I know someone who went to a swingers club with her DH and ended up shagging about 10 men in a line up one by one whilst her DH watched. However when her DH started having sex with another women, she started crying and kicked off and they had to leave....

If you’re considering opening up your marriage that programme is not going to help in any way, shape or form.

It’s full of people from only fans, paid entertainers and multiple bits of it are staged.

It is not remotely reflective of genuine swinging in any way.

The not thinking it through properly / the people who are into it expecting to play lots themselves, but struggle with their partner playing does happen, but it’s not resolved with a 15 person orgy and breaking agreed boundaries. As the next episode suggests.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 26/05/2023 08:39

Presumably because couples who have good communication and have genuinely thought it all through would go along, talk lots, either play or not play, and would have no drama. That doesn’t fit the programmes bill.

The ‘residents’ if you watch actively encourage the coupes to break their boundaries. Thus ensuring drama

yes I noticed that and felt very uncomfortable. Made me wonder what would happen if the cameras weren’t there.

WilkinsonM · 26/05/2023 10:29

I haven't seen this before but am off sick with Covid so this is perfect viewing 😆 DP and I swing and this show doesn't seem representative at all! For one thing they are too young - most swingers are mid 30s at the younger end. It's all very silly channel 4 take on the issue but quite entertaining.

beeskipa · 26/05/2023 10:37

I actually know one of the couples on the show, haha. They've not been featured a lot but are actually swingers/it's not one of them forcing the other into it like a lot of them seem to be!
