And it's the first day of half term.....!

Is it just me or has anyone else had the same problem this morning??

I take it you have switched all the power off and then started it up agian. My Sky box does this sometimes and if I switch it off at the power and then start it again, it seems to work....

Karen - yes unfortunately it seems to make no difference at all!
All the other channels seem to be working.

Aarghhh!

Have you tried re-tuning your channels?
Sometimes it works for us

Bellie · 18/02/2008 09:07

Macdog - thanks have just re-tuned and have got Cbeebies back

Still no five though no fifi for dd then this week....

Ok

All the five channels have now disappeared completely as have sky news and sky sports news.

I retuned and now have lost these channels completely - they don't even show up as being available i.e the channels just skip from 4 to 6!!

Anyone able to help now??

No idea although mine is working fine if you want to come over and watch....

Bellie · 18/02/2008 11:28

Thanks Karen - if this continued we may just have to take you up on the offer

Sometimes on my freeview box the channels have appeared somewhere else far down the channel menu - totally out of place (usually in the radio stations).
Can you check with your channel organiser?
It may be as simple as rearranging the channel numbers/order.
Don't know what else to suggest, sorry

Bellie · 18/02/2008 19:30

Thanks for all your suggestions. I think that my box just had a very dodgy day!

Took about 5 re-tunings and lots of shouting - e.g got sky news back - watching it quite happily, turn tv off (not freeview box) turn tv back on 30mins later and no sky news again!!

Have now got all channels back but for how long..........?

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you (life without kids tv = unbearable )

This happened to someone I know recently... the ariel plug had come out of the back of the box. The person I knew (no children) could only get cbeebies . Worth checking though.
