Why doesn't Cain remind Will of the whole Malone saga

Oh yes! Although the current writers have probably forgotten all about that storyline.

CuriousCatfish · 15/05/2023 19:57

I still feel a bit sorry for Mack. Shall I leave the thread? 😂

I watched on catch up. I have questions (again) caleb told cain that he was taking home farm. Far as I know, not been mentioned again but why not just tell cain the rest? As in nasty nanny nicky is his son? Also, if cain knows just part of his plan why would he not be dubious of him suggesting they sell the farm to Kim?
What happened with chloes plans to go to Scotland? Obviously the baby being poorly will delay it but she's talking as if she's staying now. Has charity told any other partners what bails did? Thought Vanessa knew.

CuriousCatfish · 15/05/2023 21:00

It was Vanessa who persuaded Charity to tell the police about Bails.

Chloe is now speaking in a Newcastle accent

Yes I spotted that!

JaneJeffer · 15/05/2023 21:36

caleb told cain that he was taking home farm.
Don't recall that happening.

Don't recall that happening.

It was when they first tried speaking but were a bit frosty. Cain said he couldn't trust him because he was associating with the tates. Caleb said something along the lines of that he was doing it because he would take it all.

CoffeeLover90 · 15/05/2023 22:26

Started thinking I'd dreamed it there but yes, it was after cain had let the horse loose. I'll have to start keeping a diary because I think little things happen and the writers forget so it doesn't fit in well with later stories.

Emmerdale: NO SPOILERS - who can you trust?
JaneJeffer · 15/05/2023 23:07

Cain must have just taken that as a jokey comment I think.

Caleb is playing with fire now. Yes he told Nicky he'll give everything back to Cain and Moira but if they suss he's involved beforehand they are not going to be happy!

I'm with you @CoffeeLover90 , I remember Caleb telling Cain he was going after Home Farm when him and Cain buried the hatchet.

I don't get the bit tonight though that Caleb wanted Kim to squirrel all her money away offshore all along because then he could hack into her computer, steal all her passwords and transfer the funds to his bank account. It's just bonkers!

RaraRachael · 16/05/2023 13:40

Chloe is now speaking in a Newcastle accent.
She always did, to my hearing anyway.

I've just read a spoiler that endorses the fact that the scripts are written by chimpanzees - it brings totally shit and unbelievable storylines to a whole new level.

JaneJeffer · 16/05/2023 13:45

You just reminded me @RaraRachael I saw that spoiler last night but the trauma of it obviously meant my brain blanked it out for my own mental health. WTF are they thinking??

Chloe never used to say us for me until recently and the actress is from North Yorkshire so it's obviously an attempt to make her seem more like the Wyatts.

I feel a bit sorry for Chloe. She is a teenager who made a mistake. Her baby was critically ill, and Charity confronted her in the hospital while she was sitting with her sick child. She has now had her business broadcast through the village. I know she is not blameless, but she is so young and quite alone really. She lost her mum and sister, and was disowned by her father when she would not do as he said. The acting might have a lot of room for improvement and she is far from blameless, but Chloe needs some support.

TellingBone · 16/05/2023 16:18

I don't know why I go to such great lengths to avoid spoilers anymore. There's never anything worth watching coming up by all accounts.

Chloe can go off and droop elsewhere please. Any chance of that ye spoiler-aware folk?

Snozzlemaid · 16/05/2023 17:45

I agree about Chloe, the character, but I just don't actually feel sorry for her.
The actress is not great and I've never felt any connection to the character or liked her so it's hard to feel sympathy for her.

JaneJeffer · 16/05/2023 18:11

I couldn't care less about Chloe. A good actor should make you feel the emotion of the situation they're in whether you love or hate them but she's not able to do that. Chas has never been a likeable character for me but I bawled my eyes out when Grace died because Lucy Pargeter can act.

OP posts:
Neverinamonthofsundays · 16/05/2023 18:12

Chloe is like a cardboard cut out. Zero acting ability and very unlikeable. I want her to run off and leave the baby with Mack and then he and Charity can get back together and raise that baby as a family. But Emmerdale writers seem to hate them so that will not happen.

PrincessScarlett · 16/05/2023 20:01

Chloe deserves absolutely no sympathy. It's not the fact she leapt into bed with Mackenzie that is the worst action. It's the months of moving in with Charity, letting Charity mother her and support her, accepting money and gifts from Charity. All of that is bloody cruel and she could have easily leant on someone else for all that support and not the woman whose husband she slept with.

And that is without even mentioning the woeful acting.

PrincessScarlett · 16/05/2023 20:20

Mackenzie was right about the Dingles all being hypocrites. Only recently Chas was begging them all for forgiveness and there she was lording it over Mackenzie like the rest of them.

Mxflamingnoravera · 16/05/2023 20:27

I just saw Mik Artistic walk past Charity's jumble sale of Mac's clothes. He's not been in the Woolpack for a while.

Mxflamingnoravera · 16/05/2023 20:28

...I'm a few days behind after a weekend away...

Yep. I'm not sticking up for Mackenzie, but apart from Ryan and the brief appearance of Kyle and Isaac, was there anyone in that pub scene judging him that hasn't had an affair or slept with someone else's partner?

RaraRachael · 17/05/2023 10:18

The least law abiding and moral family in Emmerdale acting as judge and jury - yes that made me roll my eyes!
