This is set during the the 1950s when the UK was using the south desert in Australia to test nuclear explosions, based in an army camp set up to do the tests.
More Catch-22 than Rogue Heroes shows Australian troops having to play along with British officers and politicians who want a positive outcome from tests to defend having nuclear arms.
Added to which there may or may not be espionage.
Some of the language and scenes are a bit unsettling but I think are meant to reflect behaviour and language of the time.
As it is free to watch and no ad breaks (how do they cover there costs?) but with a few trailors that you can fast forward through, thought I would mention it.
