I would have sacrificed Janice and Paul, she never wants to do any trials what is the point of her being there, and Paul is pretty useless. It's stupid because now it will be two stronger characters that go - whoever wins/loses.

When it came to the phone calls, Myleene went in after Helen so it was fair that Helen got the call.

I think the subtext of Paul's talk was- that basically he had had enough and was happy to be sacrificed. The problem is if he went to the trial and lost he would be going to a nice hotel and able to see and speak to family, and the rest of his team would be left eating rice and beans.

So maybe that's why they tried to pick the strongest camp mates, otherwise they're just handing the prize over to the other team.

Could it have been tactical choices by Joe and Dean to try to eliminate the stronger ones and leave themselves in competition with the likes of Paul and Janice in future trials?

Whoever said it feels just like a compilation of trials - I agree, there’s been very little shown of camp life and I think it’s quite lacking because of it. We aren’t seeing the individuals in action just hanging around chatting. It must have been almost an hour spanned across the two nights of Joe and dean just wrenching, they’ve had months to string together some decent footage and present a bit of a story and background so we are a bit more invested.
I’m just sitting down to watch tonight’s episode, sounds like it’s just more trials!

We have to wait til Monday now.

I think maybe Andy wanted to go home so thatd why he volunteered but has given the trial a good go.

I will say that I’ve done a complete u turn on Helen this series, she’s grown up and has really shown that she’s a tough cookie and has put her all into everything that’s been asked of her.

And I’d have totally thrown Janice to the lions. She’s literally done nothing and deserves to have been made to do SOMETHING to justify her place.

When Joe and Dean were asking who wanted to volunteer it was very telling. Janice, Paul, Carol and Phil all indicated they were not up for the trial. By not volunteering they get to stay in. Very unfair that Jordan and Mylene were chosen again, no wonder Jordan looked pissed off.

I feel that it must be edited pretty heavily. Janice surely can't be as lazy and annoying as she comes across on screen....can she? Otherwise the others would have lost the will to live!

Really annoys me with them crying over missing kids and families. No-one forced you to South Africa at gunpoint! You're doing it for the cash and to get your fat faces on telly 😡

Exactly. When Helen was saying she'd never been apart from her 1 year old I was thinking how the poor 1 year old must be feeling about his mum just disappearing.

I feel similarly. She said she was missing one of their first days at school. Previous years contestants have cried over missing their child's birthday. Presumably they are given the dates in advance and it's a choice whether to accept...

So how is the winner chosen? No public vote so is it a case of last person standing after doing trials? Do Joe and Dean always get excluded from tasks as leader? Seems a bit off to me and easy for the winner to be decided by ITV and the show scripted around that.

If all the good ones go and were left with the lazy ones and Joe Swash I'll be switching off.

I know I'm being daft but I always think this. DH has been to war 7 times for 6 months at a time. He hasn't been home since February. Wouldn't mind if he got paid like these do.

Presumably he chose to go into the armed forces and knew what was involved and expected, must like it as he has stayed. Good for him.

The people in the jungle chose a different path which can be rocky and is always precarious. Occasionally a gem comes along, good for them grabbing the opportunity.

The major issue with this pre recorded crap is that I've already seen spoilers. Now whether they are true or not remains to be seen but there is the likelihood that it will come out before the show is aired. Why isn't it at least on tomorrow night?
