I’ve just started watching this - is never even heard of it before! I love it, and Albert is 🤤 but Jenna’s obvious blue contact lenses are REALLY distracting

Oh, I watched it a few years ago and adored it - even the opening credits are lush.

I loved this! I was so sad when it didn't come back. Lord Melbourne and Prince Albert are both gorgeous. Which helps.

Never mind the contacts, Jenna Coleman's dazzling Disney beauty was far too distracting. But I suppose the show wouldn't have been commissioned if they'd gone for a turnip like actress who actually resembled the real Victoria.

The real Victoria was attractive for her time.

But yes Jenna Coleman is stunningly beautiful and a bit modern looking.

the ratings for series 3 were very low plus Jenna Coleman was then committed to sone other things. I think it was quite an expensive series so I assume they thought the cost wasn’t justified

Ahh I didn’t realise that about the ratings. I did some Googling after seeing this thread and saw that Jenna and Tom, who started dating during Series1 and bought a house together, separated just after the final series. Maybe that was relevant too.

Another one who thought this was a new series announcement.
Jenna Coleman is stunning, I loved her in this but thought the actress who plays Sonia in eastenders would fit more looks wise.
I really loved Victoria, enjoy it OP. I particularly loved the Xmas specials too
