Suggestions? I hate cooking but do a lot of batch cooking, and I want shows I can watch without too much concentration, but are also gripping. Just rewatched Scandal and Desperate Housewives again.

I do this watching the reruns of Howards'Way, which has been showing on Drama channel. I enjoy the nostalgic value but don't need to focus too hard on the storylines.

Jane the virgin and Crazy ex girlfriend are my ideal housework TV. I also quite enjoyed pretty little liars, despite being double the target viewer age!

Come dine with me, I have it running in the background and jut seem to look up for the final prize giving each time.

I'm watching the Good Doctor atm. It's on amazon.

I have been able to follow along whilst also playing my Nintendo switch :)

Watching the whole of Death in Paradise at the moment as my mindless watch.

I also rematch old stuff from my youth... stuff like The Bill and The Royal

BansheeofInisherin · 13/04/2023 18:53

Ooh thanks. Some good suggestions. Pretty Little Thing reminded me of Glee, which I used to love ( but may not have aged well). You is also perfect for this but I have watched it all; made no sense whatsoever!

Death In Paradise is actually DH's after work treat:)

Gilmore Girls and Friends are my go- tos

jay55 · 13/04/2023 19:45

I like the crime or hospital procedurals for this.
Criminal minds, Code black, private practice, Lie to me.

Thelastofbus · 13/04/2023 20:02

Also, the good place

purplecorkheart · 13/04/2023 20:07

Haha currently watching Desperate Housewives and Scandal is next on my list.

When I was very very stressed and wanted some mindless tv watching I watched Benidorm, Gilmore Girls, the Good Wife, the Goodfight and Guilt.

sunseaandme · 13/04/2023 20:08

Schitts creek, peep show, Friday night dinner

GulfCoastBeachGirl · 13/04/2023 20:17

Ah, 'Half-Brain Television' - my favorite! 😂

Netflix:

Grace & Frankie
Gilmore Girls
Good Witch

Have you ever heard of "Hot in Cleveland"? Three middle aged women from Los Angeles are on a plane complaining to each other about how they're invisible in youth obsessed Hollywood, husbands leaving for younger women, etc. Plane makes an emergency landing in Cleveland Ohio. and they find that in Cleveland they're considered really desirable... Hot😂

Anyway, it's a really funny half hour show. I think it's available on Amazon Prime.

purplecorkheart · 13/04/2023 20:41

Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars is another couple of choices. Oh and if you like soaps someone has posted Coronation Street from 1980 onwards on youtube.

Chesapeake Shores! Beautiful landscapes, slow paced storylines. Netflix.

WakeMeUpInspring · 15/04/2023 09:35

Virgin River. Cheesy enjoyable rubbish

I never get bored of Gavin and Stacey
