Also loved Designated Survivor.

I love things that are gripping with a twist. Any suggestions?

I've started watching Night Agent and am well and truly gripped! Have you watched Stay Close?

Follows three people living comfortable lives who each conceal dark secrets that even the closest to them would never suspect; Megan, a working mother of three; Ray, the once promising documentary photographer, now stuck in a dead-end job pandering to celebrity obsessed rich kids, and Broome, a detective who's unable to let go of a missing person's cold case. Lorraine, an old friend from Megan's past, delivers some shocking news which will impact on all three characters. As the past comes back to haunt them, threatening to ruin their lives and the lives of those around them, what will be their next move?

Shooter on Netflix.

Oh and The Stranger was very good too...

What would you do if a stranger approached you at random and revealed a shocking secret about your partner? The Stranger takes that scenario and runs with it, with the plot expertly revealed over the course of the series.
The plot twists come thick and fast in this TV show based on a book by Harlan Coben, and most episodes end on a cliffhanger. It all builds to a glorious conclusion when the characters learn the real truth.

Have you seen The Recruit on Netflix? Similar in some ways to The Night Agent but very enjoyable.

An oldie but goodie in a similar vein would be Alias (currently on Disney Plus). Jennifer Garner is a young agent who thinks she's working for the CIA .. but is she?

YOU...

You starts out as a soppy romantic drama centering on Joe Goldberg—the manager of a New York bookstore—falling in love with an aspiring writer named Guinevere Beck. But not everything is as it seems, and Joe isn't the nice guy he at first appears to be.
This is a psychological drama of the highest order, and you'll find your opinions on the characters changing as their personalities are revealed.
Had to binge watch this one

McMafia. Harlan Coben adaptations-although I find the foreign adaptations much better-The Innocent on Netflix. Tell No One is a fantastic adaptation -a film rather than a series and it’s French but far superior to The Stranger etc. Try the Jack Ryan series on Prime-John Krasanski is always worth a watch. Jack Reacher series too.

Slow Horses is very good.

tribpot · 13/04/2023 11:22

Oh yes, another vote for Slow Horses (Apple). I'm assuming you've seen Line of Duty?

jay55 · 14/04/2023 21:23

Mindhunter. Not so fast paced but fbi learning about serial killers.

jaychops · 14/04/2023 21:35

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll be looking through all of these. I've seen line of duty yes, my favourite series of all time! Also love You and Stay Close.

I just made the mistake of trying an episode of Obsession - lasted 15 minutes, what a load of rubbish!
