Neighbours on Channel 5 just isn't the same - it looks common.

Neighbours on channel 5 looks different - kind of duller and tacky and looks more like Home and Away. Also the adverts are in mental places - like halfway through a conversation etc. Anyone else noticed this? Or has it always been crap but suddenly the veil has been lifted?

yes looks like it is a film rather than a soap. looks like the settings are to bright on their cameras... hate it hate it hate it. Its nothing to do with neighbours its channel 5! grrr hate channel 5!

erm, as a true H&A fan I take offfence by the comments that that is tacky....now neighbours...couldn't care less where that is shown...and, erm, not being funny, but isn't teh programme just the same no matter which channel it's shown...surely?

The duplicity of the bbc pisses me right orf they swapped Neighbous which was on at 1.40 with doctors for a few weeks until neigghbours moved to 5 so now doctors clashes with neighbours on 5! Now I know doctors is shit as well but I still like to watch it to slag of the bad acting so what's a girl to do? and no I can't watch it at 5.30 because that is right in the middle of witching hour with the kids.

I'm getting virgin media tommorrow but I'lll still miss it if it's plus one cos then corrie or easties is on and all that other shite I watch....

Neighbours was my one chance to sit down in the day as DD goes for a nap around 1:30pm. Now it's moved I can't watch it as we can't get channel 5!

I only watch neighbours and doctors as far as soaps go and when I am working I record them and watch in evening

Now the BBC/ch 5 have messed it all up

Also I am annoyed that they have filled the 5.30 slot with weakest link and messed up CBBC and put the children's drama early so Anne R can be on at 5.15

At least the 7pm showing of neighbours is quite a good time to have it on FIVE LIFE

I noticed that too - its like the post-production has changed ot something. It looks like home and away - or as the op says 'common'

dh reckons they have changed the lighting tomakie it more realistic. neigbours realistic?!?!?! why would anyone want to fo that? I LIKE that its nonsense

didnt know it was repeated at 7 tho - thats very handy

dp reckons that maybe it is because the signal strength on channel 5 is weaker (even though even thought we have sky) but thta explains the dull lighting and pixelated affect.

Also, did anyone notice the very quiet, but 'dramatic' annoying music at the beginning, at the recap bit??
