Did anyone watch it. Heartbreaking. What a brave couple to do this documentary and what a beautiful little girl.

Yes it was heartbreaking. So reminded me of my dd when she was small.

MymateDave · 01/04/2023 09:46

I cried whilst watching it. So sad

FrenchandSaunders · 01/04/2023 09:47

I’m watching it now.

The programme is called “In Memory of Maudie”. Her name was Maude, not Maud.

It’s pretty disrespectful to get both her name and the name of the programme wrong.

Oh give over.

No. It matters. There’s no “give over” about it.

You’re nitpicking over a typo, there’s no need.

No. I’m nitpicking over the fact that people can’t be bothered to spend one second checking both the child’s name or the programme name in their rush to start a thread on it. It’s the same with threads about Madeleine McCann. It’s rude, disrespectful and upsetting.

FrenchandSaunders · 01/04/2023 12:16

If I was in a rush I’d have started the thread on Thursday 🤷🏼‍♀️

Shame that’s all you could add to this, I find that rather upsetting to be honest.

Then that’s even less of an excuse to get both wrong.

cafecreme · 01/04/2023 12:46

Good grief, I think you’ve made your point now spoiler

OP I agree it must have been very difficult for them to tell this story. I hope it raises awareness of Sepsis. As it happens I had a very brief conversation with Jason about this and he said every conversation, however small, helps to bring attention to this awful illness.

MidgeHardcastle · 01/04/2023 12:48

Op, get the thread deleted and start again. Some people are just twats, it can't be helped

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 01/04/2023 12:51

Hello @FrenchandSaunders we're happy to edit the title, if that helps. Let us know.

FrenchandSaunders · 01/04/2023 12:56

@YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet Thanks could you delete it please.

Watching this now. Only about five minutes in. Poor family.

PippiMoomin · 02/04/2023 10:46

It was very moving to watch and very well done . I think it was very brave of Jason and Clara to do this . It gave a very important insight into both sepsis and dealing with grief . Well worth watching even if it is difficult not to shed a tear at some parts .

Tittyfilarious81 · 02/04/2023 10:49

I watched it with tears running down my face , it was very difficult to watch and I think her parents were incredibly brave to do the documentary in the hope it helps raise awareness of sepsis.

mogtheexcellent · 03/04/2023 08:57

I imagine the parents would be glad that people are watching and awareness was being raised of Sepsis and parental grief rather than being pedantic about a someone accidentally spelling a name wrong.

Having lost a young child I had to watch it alone at midnight so I could have a good cry.
