Hmm

Not sure about this. Firstly their clothes.. they keep changing their outfits on the same day on the same journey.. makes me think of dodgy editing

I do like both of them however and I'm loving seeing Sicily..,

Anyone else watching?

Who knew Gio was so daft
Pandas and dinosaurs came together in the 1700s - what?????

Having seen Gio's recent stage show I can absolutely say he's hilarious.. very funny live when he can get away with saying more..

I think it's dire. A rip off of the Gordon, Gino etc without any of the charisma or humour.

munchbunch12 · 21/03/2023 21:41

I'm quite enjoying it, and Sicily looks beautiful.

BotterMon · 21/03/2023 22:01

Beautiful country. Gio can sing? Anton is so cheesy. Overall quite painful.

ThePoshUns · 21/03/2023 22:07

It was dull. Neither have the charisma of Fred/Gino/Gordon.

thebellagio · 21/03/2023 22:08

I enjoyed it

Umanresources · 22/03/2023 16:53

I'm really enjoying this, but I love Anton and Gio as well. Love how Anton looked after Gio when he first came to England.

awaynboilyurheid · 22/03/2023 19:31

I enjoyed it too, and sometimes hate these programmes but loved seeing Sicily, would like to have known more about Giovanni’s life who he stayed with at 14 when he left home so young ,also liked to have known where they stayed in the different places .
I was not so keen on contrived music therapy stuff when you know it’s set up but enjoyed the banter and Giovanni hating tea and history! Yes nice to hear Anton looked after him when he first came over.

shadypines · 22/03/2023 21:55

I wanted to like this as on paper it's got potential... two fairly entertaining harmless guys travelling around beautiful Sicily...great. Well, no, I had to bail out after 20 mins as it was cringe fest. Focusing on the bromance, contrived banter and stuff that's only interesting for 10 seconds max; car gets grounded on a rough road ..it's not worth dragging it out. Giovanni playing Spice Girls on his phone ..yawn. Meanwhile skipping over telling us about local culture, ancient ruins and amazing coastline. What a shame.

MeinKraft · 24/03/2023 16:25

The bromance and silliness seems a bit forced, in an attempt to recreate Gordon, Gino and Fred. Which is also totally set up but somehow they get away with it.

I’ve watched all three episodes and I actually really enjoyed it. Episode 2 was lovely with Rose. Their relationship is so adorable and I love everything about her

I saw their live show and Giovanni is hilarious and so silly 🤣

I'm really enjoying it I know it's a bot cheesey but it's harmless. I've downloaded the series.

shadypines · 24/03/2023 21:32

I'm glad some are enjoying this as it's harmless and cheesy, it's just not my cuppa. Although I'm not an Amanda Holden fan I much prefer her with Alan Carr, you actually get a feel for Sicily and their friendship is not as scripted.

CC4712 · 25/03/2023 10:04

I assumed they were a couple until near the end of the 1st episode! It felt forced and un-natural. I loved visiting Sicily- but their show wouldn't have inspired me to go there!
