Daisy will be the victim of an acid attack on the day of her wedding
It is probably loosely based on Katie Piper, who was attacked with acid in 2008. I don’t really like it at all when Coronation Street do a storyline that is based on a RL event. They don’t tend to be pulled off particularly well. The Oliver storyline, which was supposed to be based on Charlie Gard, was horrible as Leanne was so awful everyone just lost sympathy with her and then the Seb and Nina attack saw Kelly assault Nina, be part of the gang who chased and attacked her and Seb but then be presented as the real victim in it all. And both those storylines ‘ended’ with fucking drugs; I’m really so sick of drugs and coronation street!
I have a feeling Daisy will be in hospital then after a month will be as beautiful as ever and it will go the same way as the other storylines with the acid attack never referred to again, when in reality it would be a life altering event.
I obviously can’t post on the main Corrie thread as spoilers but anyone got any faith in Corrie at all? Or want to tell me I’m wrong …? I hope I am wrong!
