Cheesy acting. Silly storyline. Brilliant 80's soundtrack. Loved it!

I thought it was really funny. One of those shows where the cast seem to have a real laugh while making it. The best bit was the music, followed by the dreadful clothes and terrible accents.

I’m finding it good fun, I remember all the outfits so well and am loving the music.

Is it like an updated Dynasty ….looking forward to it - thanks for the replies

Oh crikey yes!! the mum from Sprung (loved that) thought i knew her face …..agree I am not keen, I’ve just watched 20 minutes and I do not think it is for me. I can always tell within 20 minutes if it’s for me or not

The soundtrack was fabulous though - just my era. So good to hear Ma Baker and Dollar!

but do you think it takes more than a well chosen soundtrack ? to make good production,rather lazy to rely on a whole decade of 80’s well known songs plus some copy costumes ? That’s all it seems to be plus a lot of hackneyed cliched characters , not sure if it’s meant to be tongue in cheek. the script is dreadful
Also the songs are from several years from the 80’s (I know I am being too critical) r]and it’s not clear what year the story is set In. I’m not a fan sorry 🤣

Oh yes, of course. To be honest I wasn't really paying that much attention to the plot to start with, just enjoying the music. Agree some of the acting wasn't great. I'll watch another episode before I give up though - I've got a feeling it might improve when the rest of the family get to Spain.

I’m really enjoying it but it took 3 episodes to get me properly hooked.
I really love the production, it totally captures 80’s Spain.

But it’s not serious telly for sure.

A little late to the discussion, but...
I've just finished binge-watching this and came to see what others thought.
The music is fantastic, as are the visuals; but some of the dialogue is clunkier than my X-reg Fiesta.
The first few episodes have the emotional depth of a bird bath, but it gets much better. I started watching because of Jason Flemyng: I knew he'd be good and he is. Now added a couple of the other actors/actresses that, I'll be honest, I'd never heard of before (and who could forget a name like Lex Shrapnel 🤣) to my 'if they're in it I'll give it a go' list.
