If I like trying, motherland and catastrophe...

Just finished series 3 of trying on Apple TV and really loved it. The characters were brilliant and it had me hooked. I also love motherland and catastrophe as my other favourites. Other things I've watched are; the let down, Alma’s not normal, there she goes, the duchess, gameface and Mandy (I had lots of time on my hands during mat leave). Any other suggestions of things along the lines of my top 3? I prefer UK shows rather than American/Australian as I often find them OTT and difficult to get in to. I couldn't get into schitts creek, working moms or this way up.

Agree with breeders.

DIVORCE is fab. It's American but written/directed by Sharon Horgan

Working Moms on Netflix. It's brilliant. Mainly female cast. Amazing acting. Great script. It's got everything

I like the same things, and also really enjoyed 'Upright' - it's Australian and is written by and stars Tim Minchin, who is wonderful. Give it a go.

Another one for Mum

Have you seen Hull Raisers on channel 4-similar feel to your favourites

Pretty sure that’s “Back to Life” and I agree, it’s good

Yes that's the one!

Catastrophe was brilliant. Also enjoyed five bedrooms and Offspring (once you get past the first couple of episodes).

I’ll watch to see if anything else comes up.

Agree with lots of the above, but also This Way Up - written by Aisling Bea and Sharon Horgan plays her sister.

Just coming to second some suggestions:
The other one - BBC
Ted Lasso - apple TV - don't let the football put you off, it's not about football really and is such lovely feel good TV
This way up - channel 4.

Fleabag, The Let Down and an old one but Teachers is brilliant and you can watch it all on Channel 4. I also loved Smack the Pony back in the day!

Lots of good shows already recommended, you have similar taste to me op, I’m watching Shrinking on Appletv at the moment and I’m loving it, it has the balance of humour and sentiment similar to the other recommendations. It is American but Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent from Ted Lasso) is one of the writers so it’s got the subtle humour of British tv too.
