I can't see a thread, I'm not the only one to be hooked by this am I? I'm on episode 6 now.

It isn't my sort of thing on paper, but it's so fun. All, well most of the contestants seem to be really nice and supportive of each other. When a team loses, each contestant seems to be adamant that it is their own personal fault.

Its just so weirdly wholesome.

We loved it!

Found the repeated shots of the same angle and ooohs annoying, I think each episode could have been 30-40 minutes. The dubbing was amusing, I preferred watching in Korean with subtitles.

Loved the contestants though, and liked the mix of athletic specialisms. Some of the challenges were ace, I’d have loved to do the boat one.

Maybe I should have tried it dubbed. I always watch with subtitles.
Perhaps I'll need to rewatch it for comparison. Grin
Im on episode 8 next.

Funny, we called him David Beckham, because he seemed to be so revered by all the others and clearly a big media star in Korea. He was amazing.

I think the cultural element was fascinating. So much reverence, respect and honour. They really respected each others disciplines.

If they’d done it in the UK or USA I think it would have been completely different. Lots of willy waving and ego massaging.

I loved the fact that there were no presenters and it was the contestants observing who were offering insights. If your t was a UK programme you’d have Tess Daly and Ashley Banjo dressed to the nines and chattering inanely.

Jang Eun Sil was my favourite, but I liked the car dealer too. And the huge bodybuilder guy with the tattoos who entered with his wife - Kang, I think; they said his thighs were 31 inches around which is bigger than my waist 😮

Oh, do you mean you think he was actually a bouncer or a "hired heavy" bodyguard type thing?

One of the contestants did turn a bit show host at one point and they were rubbing him for it, the one who set up the game of jumping up in to the pile of mats (which was amazing!). He must have been primed by the producers to do that, maybe he had game show host aspirations.

What I loved was that the Luger guy to the final, as he didn't even look like he had particularly well-defined muscles. I think it was him who said that people just say "oh don't you just lie down and it goes?" so great that he could show the physical demands of the sport.

It did get a bit confusing in the final when 3 of them had almost the same name! Jin Yong, Jin Yong and Jin Hyeong think? Even the other contestant got the two Jin Yongs mixed up when he had to pick a team mate.

I was thinking it was maybe like if in a British game you had Mark, Mark and Marc?

I was impressed and repulsed by the zombie choreographer’s moves in equal measure. It was creepy how fast and fluid his movements were. He met his match though, because the other guy was equally nimble. 😄

I like the mountain rescue chap, Kim Min Cheol. I think you'd feel very safe being rescue by him. Grin

Yes, he was a star from the very first hanging task. He was amazing up that rope at the end. I'd very happily get stranded on a Korean mountain if he was going to rescue me!

I had a soft spot for him too. I was getting a reliable husband material vibe from him too.

I think the show host contestant who set up the Sargent jumps with the mats was Ma Sun-Ho, one of the bodybuilders. He was lovely too 😊
