Cbeebies snowman - anyone else's child scared?

RudolftheredPOSEYreindeer · 06/12/2004 21:04

Poor ds. Settles happily down to watch a bit of Cbeebies after a busy morning and that bloomin' snowman pops up again. Ds is absolutely terrified of it. Runs screaming to me, shouting "No like it snowman. No beebies" Sad
Anyone else's child find him the scariest thing on the box?

I thought it was pretty bloody scary too. I was VERY surprised that my dd didn't freak out. I'm with your ds on this one!

ChristmasCracker · 06/12/2004 21:12

Dd's find it hilarious, Ds isn't too impressed and i think it is quite scary too.

xmascaroltygirl · 06/12/2004 21:27

My 3 (just) year old dd2 is terrified. I really wish they'd stop it as he seems to pop up in almost every slot between programmes. It's completely spoiling the Christmassy CBeebies that she had been so excited about at the start. Sad

RudolftheredPOSEYreindeer · 06/12/2004 21:31

Absolutely. Maybe I'll email them.

I will as well - can't imagine we're the only ones!

My ds2 (3 tomorrow) loves him! Possibly because he is called Harry, which is his name too. Please don't ask them to get rid of him - we like singing the snow song in deep Barry White voices!

xmascaroltygirl · 06/12/2004 21:41

Done it - have mailed them via their feedback link.

xmascaroltygirl · 06/12/2004 21:42

(haven't asked to get rid of him though - just asked if he really is going to be around all December... I'm a bit concerned at the notion of having to turn CBeebies off for a month!)

Moomin · 06/12/2004 21:46

dd's been driving me mad talking about him and his bl**dy snowflakes. she thinks he's great! Honestly, what are they thinking? Nicole and sue wrapped around him simpering - he looks like their pimp!
had to laugh at sue's rendition of the motown-type christmassy song this morning. they must be on a good christmas bonus to be making such holy shows of themselves

i'm convinced that it's pui! look at the height difference, PLUS she's got experience of being in a 'suit' (Po!)

i thought it wouldn't be too long before a cbeebies snowman discussion was started!!!

i'm just wondering what sid and chris will pop up as!!!!

Moomin · 06/12/2004 22:01

could be sid in the outfit?

aloha · 06/12/2004 22:18

My ds is really scared of him too. Pleeeeeeaaaase get him taken off. They've all gone mad on cbeebies. I find the 'sexy' Miss Hooley absolutely terrifying. It's like they are all auditioning for their West End musical debut.

coppertop · 06/12/2004 22:18

From the size of the snowman I would think it's probably Pui in the outfit. Ds1 loves the snowman and dh loves Nicole & Sue's oufits even more. :o

(Have you seen it yet BigGayDad, wherever you are? Wink)

wobblystarryknicks · 06/12/2004 22:28

I'm scared of that snowman!!!! He looks like a big white pimp!!!

merrymarthamoo · 06/12/2004 22:31

Anyone want to join my Save Harry He Is Terrific campaign - SHHITE for short Grin?

Tommy · 06/12/2004 22:47

I think I'm more alarmed by Nicole and Sue in those brides' dresses - what's that all about?

WigWamBam · 07/12/2004 11:07

I'm pretty sure it's Pui in the outfit too - the snowman is very small, and moves very much like Po Teletubby ... I'll bet she was really pleased to get such a glamorous costume ... Grin

MaryChristmas · 07/12/2004 11:09

I thinks it's the deep voice too. Meant to be a
Barry White take off isn't it?

It's yet another repetitive bit of cbeebies.

InDulciJulieF · 09/12/2004 00:14

I havn't watched Cbeebeebies for a while with dd but my mum informed me that dd agex 3 keot asking her to turn it off, don't like it whenever the snowman came on :(

partywigandredrobe · 09/12/2004 18:55

DS isn't scared of the snowman, but DH is brassing me off as he sits there like a demented chimp watching Sue & Nicole in those outfits.

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 09/12/2004 19:10

DD loves the snowman and his snowflakes.
I'll join your SHHITE campaign merrymarthamooSmile

OhComeLetUsADiorHim · 09/12/2004 20:15

I hate him with a vengeance. Ds does not seem to care one way or t'other.
