Please let me know, I’m in two minds whether to watch it…

I've watched episode 1 - it's good so far.

It's a different court case, and although there are similar story lines with some of the jurors, they aren't all the same.

Its on All4 though so there are so many adverts!

Will feedback after a few more episodes 😁

Doingtheboxerbeat · 25/03/2023 18:25

I am loving this so much but anything to do with jury's and I'm in . I tried the other version but subtitles are difficult for me.

Also can someone from Australia please tell me that what happened to that indigenous juror is not the norm in this day and age - I almost burst something out of pure rage. What am I even thinking, no need to answer 😖

@ImNotHereToMakeFriends

Ok so I'm 6 episodes in to the original and it's very good! For some reason there were lots of adverts on All4 for the first episode, but for all the others there has been a normal amount!

I don't mind the subtitles and it means I have to give it my full attention. The Flemish sounds lovely too 😁

Although there are some similar story lines, there is enough that is different. The set up for the Belgian court system is also a very interesting watch.

I'm really enjoying it.

Thank you for your feedback!!! I will certainly give it a go 👍😊

I forgot about this thread. I finished it a few weeks ago. I wasn't that impressed. It felt like an episode was missing.

I really disliked Kate, Nathan Diane and Claire.

I'd like series with Georgina, Corrie, Jamie, Garry, Simon and Alexi.

I've just finished watching this and although I wanted to know the plot ie is she dead, was she murdered, just did not feel engaged by it.

Just about everybody was not very pleasant, and Sam Neill being sauve isn't exactly unusual.

How many sercrets can each family have. I had thought this is like so many Australian series, not knowing it was a remake, and could have done with being only 5 or 6 episodes.

I think you could have made it just as interesting to have juries struggling with a complex case, and just going home to ordinary life. That contrast in itself quite a conflit.

I think that was what made me think this is so australian! All these families with grudges and secrets, and settling scores.

I didn't know there was an original version in Belgian. Maybe I should have watched that. This just felt it was trying too hard to be twisty, and so blatantly trying for a second series with the final episode.

And all those looooooooooooong ad breaks on ITVx.

I just started this!

purpleme12 · 06/04/2024 22:04

Just watched episode one. Really uncomfortable viewing, when he locks her in the bathroom

hottchocolate · 07/04/2024 10:45

I enjoyed the series

thesleepyhoglet · 09/04/2024 14:52

I watched the original Belgium one which was fab. Wouldn't watch a remake. C4 often have Walter presents things with subtitles which a good from Europe

thesleepyhoglet · 09/04/2024 14:54

And if you can find this to stream anywhere, it's great:

So the dad's a liar...!

purpleme12 · 05/05/2024 23:06

I really liked this

What was going to happen to the man who had his dogs taken away? Do we think they were going to kill him? 😟

Really uncomfortable watching the abuse play out in that couple

I originally thought that dad of the tattooist girl was a bit abusive as he took her door off. Then as it unfolded I wondered if he was more misguided.

purpleme12 · 05/05/2024 23:07

And that ending!
