Just that really. Not sure how she managed to bag the job.. she has THE worst singing voice I have to mute 🤐
Anyone else? Surprised no one has talked about this on mumsnet yet

OP posts:

Haven't listened to it. Her talking voice is bad enough!

LightBuzzyear27 · 23/02/2023 10:58

I've said this for ages, she's definitely not a singer is she!

raguragu · 23/02/2023 13:28

How on earth did she get that job

She ought to be embarrassed. The poor babies

raguragu · 23/02/2023 13:29

This is bbc exclusive casting gone mad

ConradKnightSocks · 25/02/2023 12:23

Haha! I was saying this exact thing the other day! My ears bleed every time they do the "hello song". I'm always relieved when I see it's Nigel presenting. I love Nigel.

BadgeronaMoped · 25/02/2023 12:26

God, she's a damn sight better than that awful woman they had on the baby club. Far too much singing altogether on Cbeebies in my opinion Grin Nigel is wonderful and can do no wrong.

PrincessScarlett · 25/02/2023 13:26

I quite like the fact she can't sing. Gives confidence to all mums to sing with their babies rather than just those that have a perfect vocal.

I think this too. It also makes me think that maybe I could actually become a TA in a nursery one day and, god forbid, have to be involved in singing a nursery rhyme or such. Because the kids actually just like it when the adults get involved and don't really care that they sound like nails down a blackboard.

SgtCatherineCawood · 25/02/2023 20:09

Yes I thought the same, that it's done to show it doesn't matter and no one cares if you can sing.

I actually saw an advert once asking for people to go on Toddler Club when it was just starting out. I briefly considered it but quickly came to my senses that I do not want my toddler being a toddler misbehaving documenting thanks very much!

VivaciousRadish · 25/02/2023 20:20

I really like her!

Nice snipe at her regional accent there

Runkle · 26/02/2023 00:12

Even my baby prefers Nigel. We both do.

Meandfour · 26/02/2023 00:14

Not heard it but it can’t be any worse than Giovannas attempt at nursery rhyme opera surely?

KavvLar · 26/02/2023 00:16

I like her too. Not bothered about her singing voice.

rountree · 28/02/2023 14:47

Jesus, talk about mean! Why are you bullying her so much? She doesn't need a perfect singing voice and it's refreshing that she doesn't, she's just a normal human being and a normal mum, give her a break. No wonder people think these forums are bitchy because of the likes of you with these posts and comments!

misspattycake · 28/02/2023 16:07

She's not exactly Adele but her voice is fine! It's not like it's wildly out of tune... I like her and most importantly my toddler likes her voice and the programme. I think it's great to have all sorts of voices and singing ability on a programme for children. It's great for their (and mums) confidence and also to realise everyone is different!

CamdenLeisurePirate · 28/02/2023 17:08

I assumed they'd chosen her because she has a 'normal' singing voice rather than a professional one. I quite like it, I definitely don't sound like a professional when I'm belting out Wheels on the Bus.

bakewellbride · 28/02/2023 17:11

She's unbearable and Nigel is even worse. They're both SO unnatural and forced and Nigel's little fake smile in the middle of the songs is just so cringey.

Giovanna was good.

My toddler tells me to “not sing Mummy!” so this may not be indicative of all small children.

KatieCelf · 07/12/2023 10:40

Omg I just had to come searching for my people, thinking am I the only one who thinks this is terrible!!!! She is tone deaf. I used to like baby club, but toddler club does my head in!!! It’s just her shouting 😱

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 17/07/2024 17:29

I know this is an old thread but I found it because I have watched my first ever episode of the toddler club and immediately thought her singing was horrific and she basically shouts her way through.
I laughed when I saw this thread!
