I really enjoyed the first series

I saw the trailers for this and realised in only watched the first two episodes of S1 as it clearly didn't grab me. Did it pick up after a slow start?

Yes, S1 does pick up in terms of story. It’s neat!

Such an interesting mix of styles. I think I saw that at least one of the writers / directors worked on The Boys? It’s very much a mix of that sort of next level, almost cartoon, gore plus The Nevers, plus a touch of Misfits. Some excellent fantasy effects annd characters. And a glorious cast - although I don’t see much chemistry between the two romantic leads.

Finished S2 Ep1 last night - looking forward to Ep2 today. Presumably Ep3 available this week.

It does pick up yeah. Episode 3 is on Friday

i think I read somewhere that this is the last season. It’s been cancelled but they finished season 2 at least

Watched Ep 6 - how on earth will they stretch this out for another four episodes?

It’s vaguely absorbing but the body count is higher than Spooks and Money Heist combined. There’ll be no one left at all by the end!

Well, it finished a bit too neatly after all the violence but I get they did that cos it’s been cancelled.

Shame really as it could have had more potential

Felt very rushed at the end

I was surprised by the romantic payoff in the last episode. I wouldn't be against it going that way but it really didn't seem like it was building up to that conclusion.

loved season 1 but i was really disappointed by season 2
