I guessed all 3 correct in the final!!! I knew Natalie Appleton had a great voice, as does her sister. I have 2 of All Saints' later albums and you can hear their voices a lot more. Much nicer to listen to than Mel's.

Re Richie S from last week, does anyone know why he kept saying "I'm Jack, Jacket Potato?"

I feel like Phoenix should have won, as he fooled them all, and his character was way better. Rhino basically did the same thing every week.

What did Phoenix's clue mean, about him being a catchphrase?

I had a bad few minutes when I thought "oh my god,** PLEASE don't let Phoenix be Leigh bloody Francis!!"

Also, hilariously, ds said "oh no!" halfway through while googling one of the songs. He thought he'd accidentally found out who one of the masked singers were. Turns out he'd got confused and thought Phoenix was Dick van Dyke! Now that would have been a surprise lol!!

With all saints the clues weee obvious it was a member of that band but not who.

Though I am struggling to think of any clues which actually could have identified Shaznay or Melanie from the other 2?

Least the Appleton sisters dated famous liams and are sisters.

Heh they explained the clues for fawn it was all all saints references rather than her references. And I probably could not have said which sister was which nowadays. If they had said it was Nicole under the mask I'd have been none the wiser.

I totally forgot that Lulu was voted off in week 1. I remembered a thread on here not so long ago that said Lulu was not a very nice person - maybe the panel voted her off because they didn't like her

I think there was a clue about a light metal with a ton weight and something about she wasn't the baby - not sure if she was the oldest in the all saints but she's the older sister.

I'm feeling very pleased with myself. I love the masked singer and am normally all over these threads, plus twitter, trying to work out the clues. I get disappointed in myself, though, when the identities of contestants become clear through others' sleuthing, and there's no way I would have guessed them myself. This year, I decided to stay well away from social media and work everything out by myself. I ended up doing really well!

Thought Rhino was definitely James Arthur until the Wedding Crashers clue, then realised it was Charlie.

Picked up on All Saints clues really early on. Had been assuming Mel Blatt until the last couple of weeks when I switched to an Appleton. Guessed Nat but as a PP has said, I feel the clues could easily have applied to Nic.

Thought Phoenix was Robbie Williams at first then, around week 3, suddenly recognised Ricky's voice. I couldn't make any clues fit though (really annoyed that I missed the obvious Off With Their Heads clue). Argued with DH every week about this - we've seen Kaiser Chiefs live a few times and he just didn't hear his voice at all. Last week I had a sudden change of heart and decided it was Neil Hannon but this week the clues fell into place for Ricky.

As for the others:

No idea about Kris Kamara nor Lulu.

Picked up snooker clues immediately for rubbish but was sure it would be Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Katherine Ryan was a complete surprise

I was flipping between Mel Giedroyc and Fiona Shaw for Otter. Clues suddenly made sense and it was obvious it was Daisy May Cooper on the night she was unmasked.

Was convinced Cat and Mouse were Tom and Carrie Hope Fletcher for the first couple of weeks. Eastenders clues and Martin K's voice clicked before they were unmasked.

Probably wouldn't have come up with Amber Reilly alone but JR'S explanations made perfect sense.

I was a huge Bon Jovi fan back in the day and picked up those clues quickly. Assumed Jon at first but then all the sidekick clues made me realise it was Richie a few weeks before he was unmasked.

Recognised Claire's voice in the second week.

So, all in all, a pretty good solo attempt and definitely a more fun way to watch although I almost drove myself mad, dying to get online to sem if others were picking up on the Bon Jovi stuff or were making clues fit Ricky Wilson. Have loved reading this thread retrospectively today.
