Comedy awards on C4 mo gilligan booing?

Please excuse my ignorance !

Did anyone watch this tonight? A few times it seemed like mo gilligan (who was receiving an award) was booed? Just wondered if anyone knew why? I didn't notice anyone else being booed, the whole thing seemed rather light hearted and clearly lots of alcohol flowing ! Wondered if dh and I had missed something ?

I believe and I may be wrong that there was jeering as they announced No couldn't be there in person.. I took it as crowd being disappointed

I thought there was booing before that bit too ? It was when South London was mentioned ? I will admit I know nothing about mo other than finding him amusing on what I have seen on TV so not sure if he's from there.
